10:30am would be the other option. Maybe shoot for that one?

Thanks for the help!

I would give serious consideration to PG 270 at 10AM. Then again IMO PG>>TG.

Thanks.

Will we be able to grab a bite to eat in the domestic departure area? Is there shops also?

Sorry in advance for the dumb questions.

I'm flying BKK-RGN 8am flight Royal Silk Class Business C. I will need to check a bag. How early should I arrive at the check-in counter at BKK? I will be staying the night before at Novotel.
Thanks!
PS: Is there an entry/exit fee to/from the airport that I need to make sure I have on hand? I hope to pass through Bangkok with just a credit card and some US dollars if possible.

there are half a dozen shops and one restaurant, actually more like a food court

60 minutes in advance are enough, check in entrance 1 row A. check in and security (fast lane) will take max 5-10 minutes
no exit fee. airport tax for departure is usually included in ticket. For a ticket with transit it is usually not included if transit is done within same day; so people, who leave transit area through immigration, could be asked to pay airport tax when coming back
to be on the safe side you should ask issuer of ticket whether departure tax is included

And do not mention it when checking in.

Any local beers in the food court or no alcohol? It is vacation after all.

The domestic departure area food court is way overpriced. Do yourself a favor and, with 3 hours to kill, head streetside to the Magic Point Food Court on Floor 1 at door 7. Better and cheaper food. And on the way hit a 7-11 or Family Mart on the arrivals level (floor 2) and pick up some beer.
