Just played around with different editors a bit.
Why does the Full WYSIWYG editor have such a tiny edit box that makes it pretty much unusable?

This is a timely comment. The person who is responsble for all of IB's travel websites has changed. I am very impressed with their new leader. She has spent the past several months staffing a new team who is tasked with product development for FlyerTalk. As part of that, we are in conversation about how better to take suggestions from members and get them in front of IB staff. It's a new work in progress but I am optimistic.
Or things have changed (again) between last November and now?

Before one of the recent downgrades it still worked fine. I liked the ability to use different font sizes in one post. The "Full CKEditor" doesn't offer that. But at least the resize handle works on that one.

Allowing people to do stuff like font changes is terrible for readability of the forum. Also all of the formatting stuff that the WYSIWYG editor injects makes quoting other people's posts more cumbersome.

Merely having someone "tasked with product development" does not necessarily mean they have the correct experience, or are appropriately empowered, to implement what by now are fairly industry-standard software development practices.

Agree 100%. Some of us take professional pride in making sure that any changes are seamless and without impact to users. When we see something go so badly wrong it really gets under the skin.
There are many examples in this thread that are just web design 101 failures. Hyperlinks, font issues should not happen. Period.

Not sure if this is related to a design tweak that was made, but I just noticed moderator handles are no longer appearing in red, they are now black, exactly like "regular" members.
