I know this was a promo last year and not guaranteed or necessarily going to repeat next year but...did all stays have to be revenue or did award/c+p stays count too?

Surprise for staying at all 9 spg brands
I've decided to invest and check the box on all 9 brands this year. 7 down, only LM and 4P to go which should be completed later this summer. No guarantee of course but one can hope for a surprise.

Well...I just hit for the cycle (all 9 brands) this year with a stay at the Four Points in Orlando. We will see if they do the surprise benefit or not this year...fingers crossed. Will keep you posted.

Surprise for staying at all 9 spg brands
Soooo, disgruntled MR Gold (Plat by next weekend), I'm considering taking the *W Plat Challenge
Given my travel patterns, all 9 brands over the required 18 nights sounds fun & could be achievable
Now that I think about it, "fun" is the element I'm missing with Marriott - I've done way too many "taking one for the team" hotels this year
Even if it's not repeated for this year, the idea of an Easter Egg from SPG makes me smile

I've ticked all 9 boxes about a month ago - nothing as of yet.

If they decide to offer it again, it will likely be carried out like this past year. It accounted for all 2012 stays and was awarded in March 2013. I hope they do, as I had the opportunity this year to do all nine properties (staying at the Element in NYC in a few weekends and the Four Points in Orlando the following weekend).

At the Elements in NYC now (puts me at 7/9 - just missing two easy to get brands). It's actually quite fun to try a brand which I would never have tried otherwise, though it's certainly different from a W, Westin or Sheraton which are my bread and butter.

Believe me when I say that I've taken notice, but that still doesn't mean that this will be repeated next year.

My night at the W in NYC yesterday completed my 9 brands this year. Looking forward to seeing what happens this year.

Just saw this thread. Would be loads of fun to try one day, but I'm still working on getting busy enough with my company to travel more.
Unfortunately, I tend to go to places in the middle of nowhere for my work so I may have to stick with airline miles.
Imagine if an airline did something to recognize if you had flown every single route they have. Thoughts?
