That's correct. One of the lurkers even said that stays from the beginning of July count, and that only works if they allow stays before registration.

We've already booked a three night award at the Westin Excelsior Rome, so we'll basically get a 9,000 point refund (assuming award nights are still available when we hit our fifth stay).

Now I have to register + 1, who has no status (and may even have no SPG account) and see what they offer her.

Seems like this offer may be the same across the board. I put in my b/f's # (no stays this year, but did register for FWN promotion) and he received the same choices.

Opted for the 4k points as well. I appreciate how this offer is in addition to quarterly promos. ^

It's also nice to see that different people are choosing different options (though nobody's mentioned the $50 off yet), which I believe makes for a successful "choose your own" promo.

I agree. I have already requalified for platinum. I don't remember my husband's last Starwood stay. I put in his number and he had the same offer,

Any idea how long the 25% off will take to show up in earned awards (I already have 5 stays in july)?

I would expect this to happen along the same time frame as the Free Weekends awards.
