In my case, I had 15 stays last summer (simultaneous earning of 5 resort night certs and platinum challenge), then a couple 5-night award stays in the fall, and two stays the first week of January. And nothing at SPG since. (I was waiting for a promo that would make it worth my money, since I have to pay more to stay at SPG than at other brands nearby the place I need hotels the most often, yet all my stays are on my own dime and I'm on a budget. And I can only hope to requalify for Plat on 23 to 25 stays, not 45 to 50 nights, thus the current promo which only works for 2+ nights per stay is worthless to me.)Your next stay with SPG® might be your best yet.

I lost the T and C for the 5000 points or 25 percent off redemption offer, is the 25 percent capped at a category 5 hotel or does it allow 6s and 7s?

I only ask because the Starwood offer from 1/1-2/29 is lower than this one (2000 points vs 5000) so I wasnt sure about redemption.
