I uploaded screenshots of my delta status to the spirit status match website. I received the following email from [email protected] the next day:
I haven't responded yet because my delta status isn't earned, so I imagine I'm not eligible. Oh well.
Best of luck to all of you trying to get status matched with spirit.
Thank you for your interest in the Free SpiritŪ Status Match Challenge.

I have the opportunity to fly Spirit somewhat extensively in July and August, however my challenge expires this month. I figure it's worth an email to plead for an exception, but I'm not getting my hopes up

I received a status match challenge and I'm trying to determine if I will do it. The Gold status has some pretty good benefits, but I need to get to 1,250 SQP in 90 days to keep Gold status until December 2023. The description of how to earn SQP is here: https://www.spirit.com/s/earning-points
For me the only way to do it will be to spend $12,500 on the Spirit MasterCard to get 1,250 points. If I use my 2% cash back card instead of Spirit credit card for a 12,500 spend, I would earn $250 cash back. Need to determine if Gold status is worth $250 for me.
Have others done this? Was it worth $250 to you?

Yes, I somehow managed to achieve Gold in under 3 months (with the special offer that I received). Perhaps you can chat / call them to ask about an extension? (When I called as a temporary Gold, I was transferred to the special Gold "desk" and didn't have to wait very long to talk with someone.)

Does anyone know if you only meet Silver requirements in an effort to match to Gold, can you keep Silver? It seems no from the T&Cs, but just checking if anyone requested it....

A day or two ago I got a reply to my email asking for an extension; they instructed me to call reservations and ask to speak with a specialist in their Concierge Team.
Today I got a seemingly automated email indicating that the status challenge was over. The text was confusing, however:
I'll check tomorrow to see if I still have status or not

Thanks for taking part in the Free SpiritŪ Status Match Challenge. Since you didn't earn enough Status Qualifying Points in the 90-day period, you'll still enjoy all the great benefits of being a Free Spirit Silver member.
