Hi Sixt UK team.

What is the procedure and policy if i get flat tire during the rental in UK? Do you have any emergency help service or some other cover for this situation, how much does it cost or is it included? thanks

In case of a flat tyre or technical issue then you must call the contact number provided on the back of the Tax Disc. In case of own fault damage then you will be liable for any call out charge up to the applicable excess.

If you receive a puncture and have glass and tyre then your liability is zero with the exception of an aborted call out.

Glass and Tyre can be purchased from most locations.

Current prices from our Corporate locations in the U.K for that extra piece of mind

£4.99 per day
£14.99 per week
£28.98 per month

I hope this clarifies our process. The usual exclusions for gross negligence, being intoxicated etc apply. Gary

Thx for reply.
What did you mean by "aborted call out"?
For example,if i have glass and tire cover and also zero excess option, will i be charged for emergency call out?

Your example.... = no charge

Aborted call out, this is extremely unlikely but lets say you request a call out for no reason and then drive off without waiting for the call out and without cancelling the call out...then I think this might be considered a waste of everybody's time that resulted in an unnecessary call out.....and I think in that case the person is responsible for the charge.

I wouldn't worry about it....Glass and tyre cover, zero excess....no worries

Anyone have experience with Sixt station at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin? How does it compare with the nearby station at Leipziger Strasse?

If my prepaid booking is for 8 days, but in actual fact it's only for 7 calendar days (i.e. my start time & end time is different on the booking), can I arrive earlier (say 1 hour early) to pickup the car?

Sixt at MCO

I will be renting a MB C-class at MCO next week for 6 days. I got a pretty sweet deal for it, with all the avaible insurance, epass and Navigation it was 500 USD including tax.

This is the first time I am renting from Sixt in the US. I have used them in Germany and had no problem with them.
I always get full insurance LDW, SLI, PAI, Theft protectin, etc. But dont seem to find GDW online (Glass, tire, etc damage waiver) or is it already included in the LDW or do i need to purchase this above all?
If yes, this one should be purchased at the location, cause there was no option for this online (using sixt.com).

Mady, on the Sixt webpage you will see cars and prices for your chosen location and dates ,click on the book now icon the first price is for pay at location. Under that you can click on the prepaid rate, you need to check this by each car group. You can then further add insurance and then again diesel/auto etc.

Good question, The GDW is listed in the rental information as a separate insurance but I can see that this isn't bookable on line. Let me double check with my colleagues in the U.S..

Thanks, Gary
