LDW is not required, though unless you have such cover from your credit card then I would get it. The cheapest one gives an excess of €850 in event of damage, without you will be liable for all damage to your car and the missed rental earnings whilst it is repaired!

Yes, the GDW (Glass Damage Waiver) can be added at the MCO Branch. This is relatively new at this location and it is not currently bookable as an option on the Internet. Here are the current Terms and Conditions regarding the GDW:

Glass Damage Waiver (GDW)

Glass Damage Waiver waives your responsibility in the event of damages to the windshield, side windows, rear-window or mirror glass.
The cost of GDW is $14.99/rental (plus local tax).
If GDW is not accepted, the customer will be held liable for the full value of damages to the windshield, side windows, rear-window or mirror glass.
If GDW is accepted, the customer is only responsible for the following amount: $ 0.00.
(Glass Damage Waiver = GT)

Any use? :)

Just a quick note to say thank you again. I now have my M3 booking confirmed for September. I would not have found this without your help.

YAY!

Hi Gary,
thanks for all the help again, really shows good customer service!
Im travelling to Munich next week and will be renting with sixt a CPMR vehicle (reservation number 9287897608). I have 2 quick questions for you:
1. what are the chances of getting the Golf GTI?
2. are there 5 door cars available in CPMR range at my location?

Thanks again for your help!

Vlad

1. chance is around 2%

Hi Gary, appreciate your presence on here.

Looking at booking at ITMR at AGP Malaga Airport next month. Booking engine states 1-series cabrio, but last when I was there were just Peugeot 307 CC. Please could you let me know what cars are in the ITMR and also the PTMR/PTAR classes at the moment?

Thanks in advance.

I have e-mailed the branch and asked them to confirm which vehicles are available. Gary

ITMR: Bmw Mini, Peugeot 308, VW Beetle or BMW S1
PTAR: MB SLK or BMW Z4.
XTAR: MB E250

I hope this helps, add a remark on your booking regarding a preference and they will do their best to accommodate. Gary

Would I have trouble making payment with a debit card? I'd prefer to use it instead of m credit card, but if it just makes things more difficult il use the credit card.

Hi aaps59,

It depends where you are looking to hire. We accept Visa Debit cards at corporate locations in the UK only. I advise when making a reservation to check the rental information as this does vary slightly from country to country. Please see below a segment of our rental information for UK rentals:-

Pay on arrival tariff

We accept all credit cards from internationally recognised credit card companies - such as American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa.

Visa Debit Cards are accepted (only UK Debit Cards are accepted). All other Debit Cards and prepaid cards are not accepted.

Hope this helps, Matt

Is this still for your Germany trip? As Matthew said, it varies from one country to another. Similar in the UK and Germany though.

Sixt Germany only accepts German EC debit cards, so unless you have one, you're out of luck as far as debit cards go.

Any major credit card will be fine though :)

Here's the page from sixt.de (in German, but the card logos are the same ;) )

As a "Loyalty Program 3" / Platinum member, what sort of upgrade can one reasonably expect in PHX, based on an IFAR rental (Jeep Liberty)?

Yes for my Germany trip.

Frankfurt in mid June. I would be using an American Bank of America debit card. So I guess that's a no go haha
