edit: Ignore this question - I found this site after googling the car classes available from Sixt and got confused - I didn't realize the Cars available in each class depends on the country. Lots of info from this thread though which is great and looking forward to my rental next month!

Just got the match to Platinum and looking forward to my first rental at MSP tomorrow.
Booked a PCAR so will be interesting to see what the (double) upgrade gets me. |

Booked a FDMR in Frankfurt with Sixt. Prepaid and advertised as a BMW, Jaguar XE, Mercedes-Benz C class, I ended up getting a GLA 180 CWMD.
It was my first experience with Sixt as I normally rent from Hertz and I do not really feel like renting from Sixt again. I had applied for a membership card as I will be frequently renting cars the next year but this was not a pleasant experience. I was told this was the car they could offer me and even though the car itself was not bad, with 4 adults a 400km ride is way more comfortable in a 3 series or a C class. |

SIXT Double Upgrade Platinum not everywhere in the US
I have been on the phone with Sixt today on a rental in Miami and asked for potential cars being available for the double Platinum Upgrade. I was very surprised when she told me, that Miami does not take part in double upgrades. She said that only selected stations would take part in this "promotion". Does anybody have more information on this?
Edit: Sixt confirmed to me via email that ALL US Sixt stations offer double upgrades to Platinum card holders based on availability. |
Sixt Miami airport most certainly offer Platinum double upgrades albeit you have to ask but this upgrade is based on availability at pick-up.

renting tommorow from DE flensburg harriisle
First time renting with my gold card from sixt booked from flensburg harrisle to hamburg one day rental and paied a extra fee of 30 euro because i can pick up only after closure time 12pm, i called sixt call center and asked how i have to pick up the car. She told me that the office will be open for me only, and that what the charge is for, my question is then now is it possible to request a pickup from the trainstation to the sixt office from the agent in the price maybe? there is 7 km
next day i am renting from hamburg and returning again in flensburg but my train is in afternoon so hoping to be able to return the car later in afternoon even i pick it up in the morning the day before and still pay for one day ? i was able to to that in my latest rental from malmų sweden 2 weeks ago regards danish |
