Have booked a car next month in Venice Marco Polo via a broker, the group is CWMR. On Sixt it shows either Astra SW Nav or Fiat 500L Nav as the usual cars for Italy.Do you know what they have at Marco Polo?

I am renting in South Africa next week (DUR airport). I have booked for one day (16h- 15h the next day) and chose the prepaid option, but now might need to change my plans.... either arrive a bit earlier, like 12h, or keep the car a bit longer, until maybe 17h. Is it possible/easy to add another day to the res? I'm guessing easier to extend on the end, but if I need to pick up earlier can I call?
thanks |
Hi ydnpa,
I have requested the details of the current CWMR fleet from my colleagues in Italy and I will let you know as soon as I have this information from them. If you require anything in the meantime, please feel free to contact me directly. Many thanks, Gary Caudwell.

hi FelipedS,
I can confirm that there are no young driver's surcharges for drivers aged 23 or over when renting from any of our Frankfurt branches. I hope this helps. Best regards, Gary Caudwell.

Dear SixtCustomerServices,
I rented a car the past weekend (long weekend really), when I return the car the agent observed a little scratch in the rear, more than a a scratch it look like just a little bit polished or similar, I think that they don't need to repaint this part, only polish, but who knows... it probably it can happen loading the trunk, well, things happen. The agent take a note and told me that damage department will double check the damage and if they consider that I need to pay for it they will send me a damage report where I must to explain and detail the damage. The question is, how long takes usually this department to send that damage report?, Is there any tables to check how much will cost it?, the scratch is less than 2cm (even less than 1) Thanks in advance. |
Hi desertspotter,
As damage claims are processed on a case-by-case basis, there are no set prices for repairs. Therefore, I am unable to verify the cost of this claim without first contacting the department in the relevant country. If you could send me your reservation details in a private message, I would be more than happy to see what I can do to help. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Many thanks, Gary Caudwell.

If you have not yet placed a reservation, please let me know the specific branch you are interested in and I will be happy to contact them on your behalf. I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Hi Sixt customer Services
We have rented through Easycar a car from Sixt in Malaga in August. I have read some reviews on-line and am slightly concerned about something. When we made the reservation through Easycar we bought their excess cover insurance and have been told on the agreement that when we pick up the car from Sixt we would not need to purchase any such cover directly from Sixt. I have read online that some car companies are not accepting this excess cover and are asking people to purchase the excess cover when you pick up the car and thus jacking up the price? Is this true of Sixt that they won't accept this cover even though it says it on the voucher. The car we hope to have booked is an IDMR 3 Door with a/c (we are hoping for a BMW 1 series). Is this the case. As normally we would go straight through Sixt but we had good deal and we've used Easycar in the UK with no problems but not for a car abroad. Thanks for answering my query in advance. |

Just say you understand about the excess and politely decline. I think it's actually in your favour not to mention it because then the car company knows someone else would cover a large bill for a tiny scratch... |
