Can anyone confirm if you need to select 'inflight meal' to be able to order hanakoireki for J flights between NRT and LAX?

I had the Poached Eggs from the J BTC menu from SIN - CHC on last week. 1 egg was like rubber. The asparagus was well over cooked. The potato cakes were soggy and the plate was swimming in water. I traded it in for Pancakes off the normal menu.

Kyo - keiseki from sin
Way worse than I remember. Used to be spectacular, now merely nice (number of dishes, care in preparation, etc.) I would now classify it as nothing special.

Sq25 fra-sin
Hello all. Flying SQ25 shortly in Business Class, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for BTC. Any dishes from your experience that are particularly good ex-FRA? Thanks!

But even though I can see BTC option and other dietary options, there is no link. It's next month (april), so shouldn't be too early?
