yeah that's the impression i got. i had waitlisted both outbound and inbound. needed to purchase a one-way biz ticket for either and then award redemption for the other. happy this cleared though as the paid tix are 38% more expensive if purchasing HKG-USA vs the other way around. so it worked out for what i needed.

Oops. Sorry. In my experience I've always been notified, thankfully. I suppose SQ isn't very consistent in this then..

Thanks!
I have had a email and a text every time they got confirmed.

my waitlist cleared for FRA-SIN 3/25, and SIN-FRA 4/1. However, looks like I won't be booking the award, so will cancel today, in case anybody is looking for those trip segments

Not all clear. Premium routes are very hard to get seats on once the initial 2 have been booked.

my approach to waitlist is to always expect it not to clear, and that i encounter a miracle if it clears.

Booked 2 x Singapore to Melbourne Suites for early October, Originally on the a380 but due to us changing dates now on the 777-300 no the standard first with the a380 waitlisted.

I can see 1 available reward seat that can be booked now so I called SIA a couple of times to see if they can push through 1 more but each time never hear anything back.

Is this normal? reading through the many pages of the thread there are quite a number of people who have had their waitlists cleared flying similar dates or even later.

I find it strange too when I tried to book 2 x Suites savers JFK-SIN, only to be able to book 1 seat, immediately tried to be waitlisted for the 2nd seat after booking the 1st, it shows not available. Called SQ and they said waitlist is either not opened yet or it's closed. Not such a case 2 years back when I can book 2 x Suites savers at one go.
