Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).
13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.
"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)
ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).
Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.
ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.
CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.
As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.
Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier
Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.
Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

I hope everyone has gotten their Globalist SNAFU fixed but wanted to share I received an email from AA today:
Thank you for bringing this our attention. We appreciate your patience while we work with Hyatt Hotels in order to validate Hyatt-AAdvantage® status. You'll receive an email notification when both profiles are validated and posted accurately, typically within 15 days. It may take longer with the busy travel season, as we are experiencing unusually high volumes for partners' requests. If more information is needed, you'll receive an email with further information or instructions.
I wrote back thanking the agent for following up but brought up how people's stays have been affected and 15 days? Again, hope this is behind everyone by now.

Being a CK came in very handy at LAX and likely resulted in me making my flight. I had a flight departing out of the Eagles’ Nest yesterday. I knew the bus situation wasn’t going to be the best so I arrived 90 minutes before departure. At check-in, I asked if there were cars available and was told they were all booked. Fair enough since the benefit isn’t guaranteed.
The bus situation was a disaster to the point where the line for the bus was forming in the tunnel before the escalators. People also became stuck on the escalator while it was still running and there was little direction from staff on what was going on. At this point I’m thinking: 1) it would have been nice to have a ‘check-in’ text so I could talk to someone at LAX, and 2) I’ll probably miss my flight.
Fortunately, a rep called me around the same time to see where I was as someone mentioned to him that the bus situation was bad and he wanted to make sure that I wasn’t jammed up! The car saved the day. It was very thoughtful of him and avoided a 60-90 minute wait based on what people were saying at the AC. As an aside, there were also a bunch of idle busses with drivers at the Nest so I don’t know if there was a breakdown in communication by the dispatchers.

Agree --- gives false hope every year. I am not sure about the emails that went out this year but when I have gotten the email from Hyatt, there had been a stipulation that the Globalist status will be downgraded if one is not renewed by CK. Funny how they can track that but make such a mess of renewing us. Since I worked with an agent this year, getting caught in the quagmire of their "glitch" I was just notified by her but did not get an actual email from Hyatt. For those who did, was that caveat there?

This situation has had me using SNA when I know I have to go to gate 52 but sometimes can't be avoided. I have gotten very lucky. You could always call the CK line and request a greet and surprise (their words, not mine) to be sure you are on their radar. LA has been the best though with communication and service. Sometimes I get a text on my way in. Remember, you could do 5 Star select during these trying times and bump the other CKs to the end of the line!!

Not sure, but I submitted feedback to AA earlier that they need to address it as it is a safety issue, and a negative customer experience. Having 45 minute MCTs when the bus takes over an hour is a recipe for disaster.

Terminal 5 is demolished. There used to be 2 bus stops. Terminal 5 and T4. Now there is only T4. That has to accommodate everyone so is causing huge backups. Yes. Taking other carriers will avoid it. This is going to last for a couple of years but then they are moving Eagles Nest as well. One can consider 5 Star select which will get you a ride at a price. Or there is the Private Suites at LAX. That too is pricey but you get a remote terminal to check into and a ride to your plane, as well as a place to park off site of the airport.

ETA — I just received a phone call to clarify the written reply and the bus issue is being raised up to the team that deals with the LA airport authority to figure out how to improve the situation

There are still some great FAs out there.
Family is on a really early morning flight all the way back of the plane with all four of us and we had an FA come all the way back and offer us FC meals as she/he had four extras. They really had to go out of her/his way to even come back and talk to us.
I’m being a little vague as they seemed a little nervous that they may get in trouble for doing so and wanted to err on the side of caution.
I told her/him that I insisted on letting AA know by name how great she/he took care of us, but I would leave out specifically what they did. They were comfortable with that.
If AA would ever discipline an FA for going above and beyond to surprise and delight a CK like that, then they are really and truly lost as a company.

Long ago, I know of an FA who did get in trouble (whatever that actually means) after I reported them going above and beyond for me as an EXP, so I would certainly err on the side of caution and provide generic praise without specifics.
