Can You Use Same Bonvoy # for Back to Back FHR Stays Under Different Names
Hi, my GF and I will be booking a Marriott FHR stay each on our own Platinum cards. The bookings will be under our own name and therefore we should qualify for the $100 experience credit. Assuming Marriott awards my Bonvoy account for my stay, would they also award me for my gfs stay if I put my Bonvoy # under her reservation. Does this risk her losing the $100 experience credit?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

The only way to guarantee that second credit is to prevent that you are not even traveling together. Check out and check in separately and move rooms. Its not as hard since you get late check out on the first room.
Otherwise you are technically breaking the Amex rule against gaming.

So if the second night reservation is in the name of your girlfriend, your number would not be accepted for that reservation.

Hi!
Trying not to add to the confusion on this topic (a lot of great constructive feedback and results have been posted here). One question I have is whether anyone has had any experience booking a AMEX FHR that is also participates in the Design Hotels Program AND the Marriott Bonvoy program. I'm tempted by a late year rate at the Santa Monica prosper; but, know it could be risking any nights or points credit because of all the overlapping 'jenga-like' pieces of program participation.
Any experiences with all three? Thanks!

One of the published requirements for Design Hotel credit is the stay must be booked through Marriott. As with pretty much all Marriott FHR stays, the actual results seem to be YMMV.

Aaaaand again battling the *same* issue, EQN posted, incorrect points posted, and the property is telling me they can't generate an invoice with the nightly rate due to new policy.
So, emailing the Bonvoy Champion email address ends up with them telling me to reach out to the property (and closing my ticket?) and then the property says it's up to corporate to figure this out and suggests I go back to emailing Bonvoy.
I am infuriated with the lack of ownership here.

Posted the next day! That is good for Marriott - stays that I booked directly with Marriott usually take 3-4 days to post. Then 2 days later after posting, the app gives a push notification that bonvoy points were added to my account.

I usually see Marriott hotels outside of North America post the next day, but my North American stays typically post in 2-3 days. Hyatt generally takes 1.5 days or so.

As a side note, I've tried a test prepaid booking and on the Marriott app the price was not available - is this normal/expected?

Was the full prepaid amount on the folio? I'm booking an FHR stay at a Marriott hotel and I'm unsure if I should chose Pay at Hotel or prepay (to avoid the FX fees there). I know from my experience that if I Pay At Hotel the folio will show the full details, so it's easy to request points for missing stay in case they don't post automatically. What about prepaid stays, the folio still shows the full info?

I recently stayed at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas on an FHR stay. I did not receive stay credit or points for my stay. I contacted Marriott for the stay credit and was told
"After a careful review of your missing stay inquiry, it appears that your stay does not meet the criteria to earn Marriott Bonvoy points at an MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. "
This is despite the Marriott website saying:
"FHR rate is considered a Qualifying Rate for Marriott Bonvoy Elite Night Credits"
https://help.marriott.com/s/article/...riott-benefits
Please can someone advise as to whether FHR rates at MGM Collection hotels are Marriott Bonvoy qualifying.
