Just checked in. Booked three nights King Deluxe. Lots of waiting while checking in only to get the same offer as last stay: upgrade to Twin Exec or pay to upgrade to a Jr Exec Suite (@7000JPY per night I think he said, regular 19,000JPY upgrade rate, as a Gold discount). Nah, I'll skip the upgrade. 'But you won't have executive lounge access!'
This hotel really needs to have better CRM for their front desk clerks. This isn't my first stay at this property. I know what's in the exec lounge.

As gold member. If I booked room for 1 person (as it cheaper than 2 person), will I get free breakfast for 2 person?

Btw, thank you to those upthread mentioning the Japanese breakfast. Did it this morning and enjoyed it very much.
Might as well throw some other unrelated observations in here rather than tacking on another post:
- gym has been updated to Technogym, replacing the Precor equipment. The main gym area is now solely cardio equipment with weight machines in the upper gym along with bikes. Unfortunately there are no longer any ellipticals up there with the only decent view in the fitness center. I'm going to miss watching the street scene.
- seems like a bit more TV channels, but maybe that's just my memory.
- breakfast buffet in the lobby seems about the same variety although my favorite, potato salad, was missing. A couple more Chinese dishes with the Hilton Huanying signage next to them.
-WiFi struggles at times, like tonight.
Overall still a nice hotel with easy access to wherever we wanted to go. Not quite ready to jump ship to another Tokyo area.

Looking at this property for an upcoming 3x person (in the same room) stay. I have stayed here with my spouse in the past on a 1 guest booking and had no problems invoking the "2nd guest stays free" benefit.
- Can I use the above benefit for a 3 person stay -- i.e. pay for two and the third guest stays free?
- What is the policy at this property regarding lounge access and breakfast for the third person -- even if I pay for a 3 person stay? I have never had issues with this at other properties (am Diamond), but I hear Hilton Tokyo is particularly stringent when it comes to this.

I wrote email to Hilton Tokyo ask about benefit of gold member. The point is to confirm that I get breakfast for 2 person as booking for 1 person or not.
The staff from Hilton Tokyo replied me that they accept 2nd guest stay for free but there is additional charge about 4,000 yen for breakfast of 2nd guest.
Should I check this again at front desk when check-in? Is it common that Hilton should give breakfast for 2 person even booking is for 1 person?

Yes, that's what I've always done to take advantage of the Honors second guest stays free benefit and always received two card keys and breakfasts. Sometimes I've had to ask for the second key if my wife wasn't with me.

Give your room number to the staffer at the desk for the lobby buffet (or at the Exec Lounge if in an exec room or at the Japanese breakfast). We usually eat together but sometimes separately and once, ate breakfast early in the lounge then sat with my wife downstairs later in morning. Didn't eat again but did have more coffee.
I've never been charged extra for the 2nd person.

Yes, it is and at this property. I've stayed four times here since September of last year. Always booked for 1 person, put my wife's name in the additional guest field in the booking, and had breakfast for 2. I wouldn't even re-ask at the check-in. Just ask for a second key, if they don't make one automatically.

when I stayed there in October they noted the number of guests for breakfast (2) on the sleeve that holds the room cards. I just showed that to the hostess every morning.

Agree with all the above. Just book your room, turn up and enjoy breakfast for two. You'll be just fine. It's a documented benefit so the hotel will honour it.

Excellent service from the hotel again, as they upgraded my one night stay to a suite. The staff at the lounge also did some magic and got buss tickets to Narita next morning even though it was (apparently) sold out. Took some calls, but happy to not have to pay a taxi.
Have to say that the service here are consistent and as HHD this hotel is my preferred choice in Tokyo.

I know, but two big suitcases in the morning rush taking two different trains is not something to look forward to and I generally avoid stress. Not to mention the irritation from other passengers in stuffed trains.

Hi,
The Narita Express is froom Shinjuku does not involve any changes. There is also an airport Limosine bus that leaves from Shinjuku station ( west exit) if the hilton bus to the airport is full.
