Yes, DL is not easy to redeem because it requires tons of homework and the domestic portion often does not have low level... but once you are willing to spend time and effort to learn the rope on how to do it (DL forum has excellent STICKY), you would find it actually is quite useful!

I'm just jealous of the nice redemption options you get with so many other FF programs compared to DL. But the only (and very limited) United and AA flights out of my wee airport only connect through Texas, and I'm not jealous enough to go significantly west in order to then go back east or due north from VPS.
So DL and Satan's commuter airline ASA it is for sheer convenience in other ways, and maybe someday I can get lucky like your friend.

Given it is an airport that is NOT well-served, you would most likely need to make position flight OUTSIDE award redemption in order to open up your options. A bus ride may even work. Many people I know use bus and train in the NE region to get them to the hubs - more economical than those expensive short hops.

To get to an actual competitive and well-served airport scenario, it's a six hour drive one way by passenger car to Orlando. Moderately competitive would probably be New Orleans, which is still about a four hour drive one way, and I'm not quite hard core enough just yet to start pricing out the Greyhound tickets. (Amtrak in my area has effectively been dead since Hurricane Katrina.)
I miss NWA.

I've been doing the surveys for 11 months now, never had this issue before. Started a month ago and still and continuing. I have only been take 1 survey out of 20+ in the last month that was not "expired" the minute it arrives in my inbox.

Hmm, I've followed this thread since the beginning and I only see the question raised a couple times and no answer. I see that a different expiration question (when do points expire) has been raised dozens of times. Could you please enlighten me on what I'm missing?

Currently I have 2 accts one was through la Quinta one through us airways. Both received initial joining bonuses. Is it possible now to us the us acct to deposit to la Quinta and vice versa or will this throw up a red flag?

It's possible, not sure about the red flag, but unlikely. Be sure to change names to correspond to target accounts. If you want to do this to avoid the time limitation (once in 30 days to a given account for example), it will NOT work.

you mean e-reward accounts allow transfer between 2 accounts (with same name)?

No, what I understand from the question is that he/she has e-rewards account A transferring to mileage account 1 and e-rewards account B transferring to account 2. Now he wants A to transfer to 2 and B to 1, which is possible.

Just checked....mine is still there. I redeemed $100 for 7000 points yesterday. I didn't have Hilton for a while and then it appeared "magically" one day which made me very happy. I had been redeeming miles for PC points prior to that but prefer Hilton. Not asking any questions!
