I've just now clicked on JimVan's link & gotten a message, 'Thank you. Your account has been credited.' And it shows a balance about $9 higher than reported by Flyingmama #1614.
BTW, was this the survey for $6.25 about cellphone service? I was halfway thru that one when my computer lost connection & it would not let me back in to finish.

I haven't seen that, but I'm curious in case I do. (I tried to do some searching but got way too many cookie recipes, a couple girl scout cookie refs, and tech links to software development tools.)

Advanced cookies - are they the troublesome ones that most of us non-technophiles have a hard time deleting?

I don't really know, but my assumption is that they are referring to Flash Cookies. http://www.ghacks.net/2007/05/04/fla...ies-explained/

Am I the only one who is getting offers of very long surveys for almost no money? Got another one today - 25 minutes for $1.50. I sent e-rewards a message saying I was skipping it because my time is worth more than $1.50 for 25 minutes. They never really replied the first time this happened, so am curious if they will reply this time.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay in following up on the story.

After my original email to e-rewards customer service, I received an immediate auto-generated email acknowledging receipt of my message. However, I have not received another communication from e-rewards regarding this issue since then. While this is an 'n of 1' anecdote, I encourage the e-rewards apologists in this thread to reconsider their positive opinions because this has not been my experience.

Regarding my rationale for carrying such a high dollar amount, it's a combination of two factors. First, I was Silver Elite on Delta and Northwest before the merger. I decided to switch from Delta to American this calendar year because of a bad Delta customer service experience. Neither Delta nor American participate in e-rewards, so I max out my quarterly redemptions through Hertz and into American. Second, I design surveys, so I know how to answer them to pass the screens and have a high rate of survey completion.

If anyone has more detailed information about the researchers who have investigated 'bait and reject' survey practices to collect data cheaply, please PM me with any details.

I hope this information helps.

Ah, FT. Where no one can just have a different opinion or different experiences. No, anyone with those things is an apologist. Or a troll.

Gee, very encouraging.

E rewards ?

My e rewards surveys are always out of date even when I get emails and I open them straight away.

How can I sort this?

You can't. e-rewards is a poor platform and this is just part of the way they operate.

Poor platform but I've used it for 2-3 years now rather successfully

I'm guessing it's because you are in Northern Ireland and you are accessing a USA only site.

If your IP address is not in the country the surveys are made for, they all will look expired. If you are in Northern Ireland, you can probably subscribe to the UK site.

Has anyone noticed a downward trend in e-rewards lately? I now have fours surveys in the last month where I haven't received the credit after fully completing and qualifying. This used to be happen every so often, but in the past month I haven't had a single full credit post except for the $0.25 "you didn't qualify" ones.

Also when this happened before an inquiry to customer service would get the issue resolved quickly. Now they respond to every single inquiry with a generic response copied and pasted from their FAQ that "it may take 7-10 days for credit to post" and "in some instances 10-20 days". I wrote to them in one of my inquiries that it has been 26 days since I took the survey, they still sent me the generic "wait 20 days before you check your account" email. Doesn't look they even read what I wrote.

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues?

I'm not. I've never had a problem with their site and have always been credited properly and within 24 hours.

I'm with you msc75. In the past I was able to get issues resolved fairly quickly - but like you I'm seeing more and more surveys not posting the credit and so far nothing but the canned responses to my disputes. I just sent one off this past weekend and in that one I also gave them their ref number for a previous case I opened two months ago and all I ever received was the confirmation email saying they got it. Three emails asking for status were never answered.
