Has anyone noticed that the prices for points on Ebay has doubles in the past few weeks? Funny since there are fewer rewards now. I am actually taking the dog for a walk tomorrow to scout the neighbors recycling bins. I have gotten the Hilton 5K and 2 of the Delta 5K rewards.

The Delta posted in the same day, the Hilton (old program) posted the same day as my second stay. I am so happy that I didn't hold out for the Hilton 40K award since it went poof!

My favorite Ebay listing right now is the guy that has 18000+ caps that have been entered for sale, over 100 pounds!!

I redeemed my points for Delta miles last night and the Delta sight will not take my code!! I know this happened when they first opened the new Coke site, but I have been able to redeem my codes until now. I have tried everything to redeem the code, nothing works. Also wierd, no email from the Coke sight which I usually get once I redeem points. Anyone else having a problem?

Ever consider running to the nearest party store (a Michigan term) and buying a coke?

This makes me wonder if you could "legally" sell the DL miles awards on eBay. I remember back when people used to sell Skymiles and other FF miles on eBay, people would pay ridiculous amounts for them - it seems I remember 5 cents per mile as being fairly common.

Well, I got my 5000 miles, posted to my DL account less than 24 hours after I redeemed the MCR 1000 points. So now I'm down to 3 MCR points. Geez, is it even worth me keeping up with this? I don't know if I'll be able to gain enough points again to get anything worthwhile before this promotion disappears...

maybe I missed it but when could you sell miles legally (in this I means valid thru DL's T&C's)? I have never known that you could at least in ebays lifetime

I don't mean to imply that once-upon-a-time eBay sales of Skymiles were ever "legal," but there was a period a couple of years ago where they were not uncommon even so. When I wrote my first post, I was under the impression that DL had shut most of these down by vigorous enforcement and cooperation from eBay. But a look at eBay just now reveals a number of sales that still may be the kind of activity that used to get peoples' accounts shut down (i.e., "pay me and I'll book an award ticket for you"). There are also a number of sales where people are looking to be paid to transfer files under DL's miles transfer program. Not sure whether this would be considered "legal" by DL or not.

And it seems I'm not the first to consider selling the MCR Skymiles award codes. There are quite a few eBay sales that must be MCR award sales. And whereas many of them have sold for around $0.02/mile, a few of the most current ones have already received bids that exceed $0.03/mile. I still don't know, though, if there are any T&Cs that would prohibit this.
