Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

How do you know it's non Q suite? My last A359 flight was swapped the other way

Best seat 77L?

What do y’all recommend for window seats on the B77L (QSuite)? There are two of us traveling, but we both want windows... Row 1 is green on Seatguru, is that a good choice?

I don't know or recall any way of doing this via Wifi.
While flying home from BKK to ORD in QR's J Class with QSuites (January 2020), I was able to watch a few YouTube videos and listen to some Spotify music online (paid $10 only for WiFi for the entire flight) using my own HDMI cable (iPhone to QR's HDMI-equipped monitor) and QR's headphone. The HDMI connection was spotty (must be the monitor's fault, as my HDMI cable works fine at home), though. More importantly, the WiFi speed (3-4 Mbps) was not great to begin with, and I had to use a VPN to watch the YouTube videos, as QR blocks most streaming services, as you may know. Annoyingly, the VPN will disconnect often due to unreliable WiFi (QR calls it Super WiFi). I had a better experience with TK's WiFi (free in J Class, 8-10 Mbps) two years prior, when I enjoyed YouTube videos on my iPhone without the need for a VPN. QR's Super-WiFi is a buzz, not a traction (at least, not yet).

Probably due to folk streaming YouTube videos and not caring about spoiling other passengers' experience. Oh wait!

With AS joining OW in 2021, do you think it’s likely we see QR start a flight to SEA with Qsuites?

The low speed was observed during both legs (BKK-DOH, DOH-ORD). To be fair, I watched YouTube after consulting with the QR crew only during the DOH-ORD flight, which was relatively empty. Due to paid services, there were handful of WiFi users, as determined by QR. It must be the flights and perhaps the equipment.

1,3,5,8,10 A and Ks are the inner and rear facing QSuite whilst
2,4,6,9,11 B&J are the front facing outer QSuite.
of course if you are a couple and wanna be able to face each other and wanted top most privacy I would suggest the rear cabin in 8A/K 9B/J, or 10A/K 11A/J
just so you know you won't be able to see each other even though the seats are facing each other
but if you would like to have the inner / further away from the aisle take the 1,3,5,8,10 rows.

Also looking at a booking whilst promo on for 11 June but LHR-DOH 008 not showing as qsuite on booking options. I thought all flights on that route, with exception of A380, are usually qsuite now? I haven’t flown Qatar before so keen to give them a try but as a solo traveller prefer a bit more privacy.

Q-Suite 77W 24J

Got a ticket MNL-DOH/QR929 which is 77W.
Checked Expertflyer seat map - it’s Q-suite which is very rare for the route. And I was surprised - 24 suites, rows 1 to 6 only. No smth like this on Seatguru ...
What is the configuration of the Q-suite 77W? Never seen it before.

Seatguru is quite outdated.
It‘s the high density version 24J/388Y. At the moment there are 5 planes of this type equipped with Q-Suite A7- BAT, BAX, BAZ, BEA and BEB.

But be aware that some last minute swapping can happen. They deQued me on saturday. Checked in on friday evening with Q-Suite and got 2-2-2 on DOH - BKK in the morning. Had at least 2 seats by myself an much more legroom in row 1.

It looks like trip that using 777 (i.e. not all 777 are Q-ed) will not have the Q-mark during booking? My booking for LHR-HKG (which both are 777) was not showing Q-mark.
