Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

It is from QR1364 to QR1378.
I have checked on EF as of now and it's showing herringbone on my original flight.

Looks like QR1378 has only just switched to a 77W Q Suite in the last day or so, and the a/c last night was indeed one with Q Suite.
Would I swop if I was still able to? Yes.
Having said that the 359 with herringbone is still a great a/c, and does have advantages over a Q Suite 77W...

QR1378 has been a Q Suite 77W for 3 consecutive days now, and with 75% of 77Ws now fitted with Q Suite the odds are pretty good for 1378.
Never say never though, and I hope it turns out OK for you.

For a daytime flight I prefer the herringbone. The cabin is much more open and not so claustrophobic.

I dont think 789 has QSuites, it is narrow. It should be something different.

The last rumor i heard was that it is more club suite than qsuite due to cabin width

It is more club suite than Qsuite but from a different manufacturer. The window seats will be like rêver herringbone seats but the middle seats will be staggered config to allow for the possibility of a double bed. The only manufacturer that offers that is the adient ascent seat. It fits the bill on that because it covers all the points raised by AAB.

now. There are no pics because it hasn’t been installed on the jets. Only economy has been installed.

Does row 5 on A350-1000 have decent views of the wing/engine? Anyone have any photos from 5A or 5K on an A35K? Thanks!

Can we update the wiki to show that Seattle is going to be featured with Qsuites? I was wondering since it’s going to be an A350-900 (which not all have Qsuites) will be times where J customers get screwed and they swap equipment sometimes to the old(ish) J? Or we really won’t ever know for certain until they start service to Seattle?

QR would start San Francisco and Seattle and the aircraft on these routes would be equipped with QSuites.

You are welcome to update the WIKI.

By the way, Australia routes that used to operate with A380's are now A350's equipped with QSuites and also not mentioned in the WIKI.

Honestly I’m embarrassed to admit it I don’t know how to change a wiki. That being said with A350-900’s and not 1000’s operating will they sometimes not use Qsuites?
