Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?
Details and changes can be found in the various recent threads.

I have flown in the 350-900 1-2-1 configuration and found this to be fantastic and in the 330 2-2-2 which was fine, but without the WOW factor. Would love to fly Qsuite on my next trip home in June.Any advice would be most welcome.
Seems to me only QR830/831 are guaranteed to be Qsuites operated on any particular day. Any other flights may be operated by qsuites equipped aircraft on some days or seasonally. QR booking engine seems to correctly indicate qsuite cabin but you are still subjected to equipment swap at anytime.

I have upcoming flights in Feb, with QR831 from BKK having qsuites, and QR836 to BKK having old 2-2-2 J seats, while my QR837 & QR836 flights in April are all qsuites. I hope they stay that way 🤞

hello! I’m flying LHR-DOH-DEL on Friday and then DEL-DOH-CDG the Friday after that (Qsuites on 3/4 legs). I booked yesterday and wasn’t able to confirm my seat so this morning I called to understand why. The phone agent said all the window seats in my Qsuite legs were blocked (as were the quads) and he was only able to book me in center seats. He commented the Heathrow flight was just full, but he was surprised by the Delhi flights as they weren’t full.

Is this something you all have experience with? As a solo traveler I was hoping for a window seat (A/K preferable). Are the airport agents generally helpful with these sorts of matters, as he told me that’s would be able to put me in a window seat.

Twitter team should be able to give you a 1A 72 hours prior to departure if you message them and the airport team hasn't booked it out.

Is there an update as to when the entire long haul fleet will have the Q Suites installed?

I had the same. I was stuck in a backwards seat. At check in they where able to switch me to a forward facing seat.

I am flying QR845 KUL-DOH in Apr and the seating arrangement is still non-Qsuites

Not sure if QR just simply haven't update the equipment arrangement beyond March. The flight shows Qsuites seats until end-March

Seems like they updated their summer schedule. QR848/849/852/853 will be QSuite. QR 844/845 will be non Q-Suite 359 (which is odd considering that was one of the first flights to consistently get QSuite 359 and soon 35K).

My flight on Monday has just been changed to 42 seat Q Suites from 24 and the rear cabin is still pretty empty. I'm currently in 1K and wondering if there's any advantage in moving to the rear cabin?

QR167 (DOH-ARN) changed at the last minute to Qsuites from the old 2-2-2 layout. Very happy! Writing this on board using the reasonably sound Wi-fi.

hi all, I booked ADL - DOH Qsuite flight in september.
I'm able to choose single seats (A,B or J,K).

But all middle seats, also the duo seats are blocked? (D,E,F,G).
So not occupied, but just set to not available, what's the reason for this?
You can see them on the map, but it's in pink and the seats are in grey.

Reserved mainly for couples or families for the quad rooms/double beds. You need to call in to ask for them. Not sure what they will tell you if you are a single traveler though.

They just updated the schedule for QR844/845 and it will be serviced by Qsuite A351

Some good news to share - taking QR853 on the return journey and it is showing as A7-BBA (i.e. Qsuites)! Finally. Time to pop a bottle on board to celebrate
