Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

If that counts as exceptional service, you've spent too much time flying on US carriers!

Was surprised this morning on QR848 by a non-Qsuites 777-300ER on the way to KUL.

Plus - unlimited legroom in 1K? Minus - pretty much everything else. Been attempting to fly Qsuites for a long while now, thinking this would finally be the time, but unfortunately lady luck isn't on my side today...

QR website lists all 3 KUL flights as QSuites flights (subject to last minute swap of course).

Yup. Seat map was still showing Qsuites up until I boarded. Oh well. At least I didn't have anyone sitting next to me

Opps. Sorry. I was confused and didn't see the "non QSuites" Having that said, having both 1K and 1J to yourself is amazing!

My DOH-MLE leg just got switched to QSuites and I had no issue booking rear-facing quad seats. Just praying that there isn't another equipment switch in the next couple months (unlikely) haha

That's slow for QR standards. Just BEFORE I could manage to press the call button to ask for a tea, I was asked whether I would like a tea...

A350-900 window seats

Traveling with my mom PHL-DOH on the way to India, I don’t care about the double suite and care more for window views. Any particular odd row that has more windows/better views? I’m currently in 7K and she is in 9K but worried that 7K might have just a singular window given its bulkhead position.

tried searching this thread but it’s absolutely useless on my phone.

Got an equipment change for my AMS-DOH leg of my trip to NRT, still Q Suites but now no longer in the EF config as on the rest of my flights What are the odds for another equipment swap?

What are the 6 row Q suites like?

I am flying Copenhagen to Tokyo in October, first leg on the 777 is currently listed as the very old business class.

When will all the 777's be fully upgraded? I had read somewhere it was mid 2019 but that seemed very optimistic!

My money is on not all the 77W’s will be retrofitted. As of now, more than half are qsuites, and some more are on their way, but eventually QR will be getting their 77X’s and while on paper they’re supposed to initially replace their 380s, I’m sure the further along the deliveries of those go, they’ll replace the remaining non-qsuite 77Ws. But this is pure speculation.

The B77W fleet was inducted 2007-14, QR is very unlikely to get rid of them in the near future.

True, but by 2022, when the 77Xs will start their deliveries, the oldest 77Ws will be 15 years old, which seems to be the retiring age for many QR jets. This hunch seems to be backed up by the fact that QR still hasn’t retrofitted many of the oldest 77Ws to qsuites (the a7-ba series registration numbers).

Bangkok Flights

Excuse my ignorance if this has already been covered. I see that here and on other sites that QR830/831 are the only ones mentioned as being Qsuites. However I see on the airline website it says others are Qsuites. Can anyone advise me of the current state of play? I have flown in the 350-900 1-2-1 configuration and found this to be fantastic and in the 330 2-2-2 which was fine, but without the WOW factor. Would love to fly Qsuite on my next trip home in June.Any advice would be most welcome.
