Alright, anyone know why QR havn't released CNX beyond 24th March 2018? I'm eying up a nice KBV/CNX open jaw for Easter, but, nothing doing for the CNX flights?
Simply slow or re-considering?!

Start dates on 3 previously announced routes should come out this week. In addition, 3 new destinations to come online, one being a widebody.

25MAR18 is the beginning of the Summer 2018 scheduling season. As QR will not have historic slots as the flight was not operated in Summer 2017 season, the have to obtain slots before they can release a schedule. It took them a long time to get the Winter slots so I guess it wont be extended until the new slots for that season can be confirmed

Wow, the Cardiff route looks like it's actually going to get off the ground with a confirmed start date, albeit over half a year to go yet. I expected CDF to be one of those destinations that will 'happen soon' but ends up being deferred several times. Time will tell but this seems to be a very positive initial statement of intent. They must have some considerable faith in the CDF market, as well as I guess some strong subsidies from the Welsh Government.

Yes, Cardiff sounds great (as I'm local), I've just been playing on the Qatar site to get an idea of cost.
But what caught my attention, was several 'flights' departing at 4.15am it was only after clicking through that you realise that the first leg of your journey is a 3hr coach ride (courtesy of National Express) from CWL to LHR

I noticed exactly the same adieacc on several of the flight time options. My worry is that people will book thinking the start date from CWL is fixed and then be told they have to depart from LHR. I think that would annoy a lot of people.
Secondly , I really hope they organise an new lounge or lounge section for those departing in business. The food offerings in CWL are almost non existent.
Finally, am I best waiting for Qatar to offer better prices and more mileage as CWL will be a new destination? Nothing is offered as yet.

Adana, Turkey being added as well. Have we heard of this before? I don't think so!

Unfortunately my late-January trip was already booked via BKK, long before the new start of CNX-DOH was announced, however the launch-fares seem reasonable so it will be interesting to see (and hopefully book) at least two trips for 2018 ex-CNX.

I hope they do get the slots, and can't for-the-life-of-me see why not as Chiang Mai is far from full, because I too am looking to book flights CNX-DOH-LHR in April/May and June/September.
