The fleet type codes such as 77P or 77K are what can be used to identify the type of aircraft under "Check Routing" on www.qrcargo.com. The aircraft type on QR Cargo is fairly accurate if you search for a flight within the current calendar month.

bananahead If you read the Wiki on this thread you will see that all 333s have horizontal seats except the 3 class A7-AEB.

As a more general point of discussion, this looks like a downgrade for the DOH-CDG-DOH route - I wonder whether it is the A380 or 777 which is being taken away.

Is anyone able to check (I'm on mobile), to see what aircraft will be flying the route in November...or perhaps the general autumn/winter timetable?

It is 1 A380 (afternoon ex-CDG), 1 777 (morning ex-CDG) and 1 A330 (redeye ex-CDG) daily.

It has been scheduled this way Winter 2015/2016 (apart from occasional substitutions of the A330 with the 777 and more recently A380) and is scheduled as such through Summer 2016 and Winter 2016/2017 (for now).

Ah ok - thanks for clarifying N1Rotate.

I always take the afternoon flight as it's best for my onward connections, so didn't realise the A330 was a scheduled roster.

Thanks guys. Yes it's the DOH - CDG leg that currently shows as 333.
I obviously would have prefer to get the A380 but i am happy to be able to get those seats as I left it very late.

It's not a deal breaker to be honest, as long as it is fully flat. I fly with the GF so it wouldn't actually be bad sitting next to each other for a change :P

Can anyone recommend the best seats in economy to choose in advance on the A380? ( and upstairs/downstairs etc)

Just noticed that my FRA-DOH A359 has changed into B77W

Beside missing out on my first A359 flight, now my K seat has no aisle access any more...

This is towards the end of March, before Easter.

I wrote about what is behind this on this thread (A350 equipment swaps on FRA and MUC)

For a day flight or an evening flight, upper deck best seats are 25A and 25K (front row, window and a private compartment to put your stuff inside) but they are usually only available at airport check-in for status passengers and are often already occupied before airport check-in opens (my guess is that they are reserved by passengers connecting from another flight who were able to select these seats at their previous flight airport check-in but I'm still a bit skeptical about how could they do that).
My second choice is 30A and 30K (large exit row but no window and no compartment).

For an overnight flight, my preference is to use my Qcredits or Qmiles to upgrade to J ;-) or otherwise would be for 28A or 28K to have a better sleep (window seat, compartment and no one behind my seat to kick my back or my head) and 31A or 31K as a second choice (as there's more likeky to be a front seat recliner in 30A or 30K exit rows seats than on row 27).

I never flew on A380 lower deck with QR but my preference would go to exit rows or last rows window seats for the same reasons (except there's no private compartment to put your stuff inside on lower deck window seats) or to that particular seat in 68D, with extra legroom as there's no seat in 67D due to a cabin crew bedrooms emergency exit hatch).

Hi guys,

I was checking in my flight and I saw the below image

It's on a A330....could you please let me understand if the seat A1 (which is reported as bassinet) is a real seat or it's missing?

Thanks in advance

KiteM You are looking at is probably a seat map for the only 3 class A333 (A7-AEB) with sloping J seats. All other A333s are 2 class with horizontal J seats in 2-2-2. QR have not updated the seat maps following refurbishment.

Hi remdk,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

During the last days it was stated the plane should be a 332 and I was able to choose seats on only 4 rows but before the check in online was open the seat map was not able anymore and now it shows 7 rows (if I well remember).

So probably you're right and they changed the plane.

Btw since I will travel with my 21 months son on lap I'm wondering if there is a seat in A1 or it's just a "free space" to install the bassinet.

In addition I'm flying in J.... The fact I can choose the first row it means it's first class "downgraded" for J passengers?

EDIT: Just checked again and I can still choose on 4 rows but on the first row I can choose on only 4 seats (as per the image).
Same thing on the 777 flight (7 J rows and the first row is shown as in the picture)

KiteM If there are 4 rows in J then it is an A332, 5 rows an A333 and 7 or more rows either the solitary 3 class A333 or a B777.
If it is the 3 class A333 then the first 3 rows are 1-2-1. There is no space between the seat and the window, the seats are just wider. Remember that it is an schematic seating plan not an exact drawing. These seats are normally First Class seats so you are getting that little extra. This assumes that it is indeed an A333 and not a B777.
The seatmap is often removed just prior to OLCI opening.

I checked.... For sure the first segment (fra-doh) is on 777 and there is the same image.

Bassinet - seat (aisle) seat - seat (aisle) Bassinet - seat
But only on the first row.

Should be normal J seats but I expected to see 6 seats in 2-2-2 configuration.
That's confusing me
