777-300 new economy

Just wondering if anyone has been on the new 10 across 777-300 and what the seat comfort is like. I have the option to go on the 9 across 77L the next day but it would mean an extra 2 hours in A320 (JRO-DOH via Zanzibar, instead of direct JRO-DOH). Is it worth the extra 2 hours in order to get 9 across for a 11 hour flight instead of 10 across?

Hi Moztel6990 and welcome to Flyertalk!

Welcome, too, to the Qatar Airways Forum.

In terms of the 10 abreast Y seating, I don't believe QR have started flying these aircraft yet - but they will over the next few weeks.

There may be other airlines which have taken delivery though, and so you may find Trip Reports for those.

Safe travels, and I hope you find FT a useful resource!

I believe they have started flying the 10 abreast on the 777 already though?

None of these 3 aircraft have had a CGK rotation since 1 February. The 2 A332s are supposed to leave the fleet in April 2016.
thank you! the flight is on the 25th of March so fingers crossed!

It was a pretty good deal, usually (from what i've been offered before) the upgrades are £350-450 but the offer this time was £250 so went for it

The report certainly shows 3-4-3 in the back, but the report is dated August last year...which is interesting, as I thought QR had been vocal about the planes not flying until March this year.

Needs more research.

msm2000uk whilst the new 773s may not yet have entered service QR are converting the existing aircraft at the rate of about 1 a week. About half have already been converted and with the current lack of widebody aircraft they are already in service. I read somewhere an indication that the inaugeral SYD flight had 3-4-3 seating.

Anyone know how many A350 and B787 they will receive this year?

Is B772 due a 343 arrangement or still 333?

Hi all,

i'll be travelling from AMS-DOH-BKK in June. It's showing the outbound flights at 777's, although if i look at flight radar at the flight number between AMS-DOH (QR274) its showing as being operated as a 788 (dreamliner) at the moment (looking at todays date and previous.

is it likely that this will be served by a 788, or will the schedule change between now and June, resulting in the 777?

prefer the 1-2-1 config to the 2-2-2 personally....!

AMS will be served by 777's after the end of March (or it might be April 14th) to allow for increased capacity. Demand has been very high ex-AMS due to the cheap AMS deals.

Safe travels,

ChrisTheZulu QR have a major timetable change 27 March (Summertime) where the majority of flights are being retimed. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...ar-2016-a.html for more information.

One result is that on some routes aircraft types have changed. AMS is one of those routes. Whilst this is QR and almost anything can happen you should accept the B777-300ER,

Not at present, no.

The 777 fleet will see a new J class towards the end of this year, and that will likely add WiFi.
