The reconfigured A332 comes in two versions, one is distinguishable by the 4th row being behind the galley and doesn't use the B/E Diamond seats. The second reconfigured A332 version uses the B/E Diamond seats and is not distinguishable from the seat map. For updated info, refer to the wiki on this thread.

Just how "disappointing" are the unrefurbished 332 J-seats for sleeping?
I am considering MXP-DOH, a 6 hour flight leaving at 2130, and it's currently showing unrefurbished 332. Maximizing sleep would be paramount with this inconvenient schedule.

If not, I hope Qatar will 'downgrade' my flight to a A332 in the hope of flying on one of their refurbished aircraft .

I don't find AA's old J seats at 11 degrees comfortable at, and was just on a daytime MH flight at 12 degrees and found it, well, disappointing. At 15 degrees, it has to be much worse.
For a few hundred dollars more (the cost of a hotel room), will skip QR for a true bed; too bad, as I like QR's soft product better.

A330-200 to Hong in J - fully flat seat?
I have a flight booked DOH-HKG return. The outbound is with CX and I know what product on their A330-300. However I read somewhere - see link below - the refurbished QR A330-200 on this route will have the new fully flat J class seats. Can anyone confirm this?

Have flown this route many times and typically it is operated by one of the refurbished A332's. I would say 5 out 7 flights.
Those have the new fully flat seats, which are fine, maybe slightly narrow when compared to 777.
If you are unlucky the route is operated by the old 332 on your day of travel....if so, too bad, but there is no guarantee.

I've just landed at Berlin TXL airport, flown in Y on A332 but had a look at J seat and they have the full lie flat bed button (not the same [angle flat] "bed position" button I had on CDG-DOH A340 a few days ago when upgraded to J) so I guess it's the refurbished version or even a brand new aircraft as seats in Y had the new design I noticed on B787 a few days ago and also a HD touch screen (old A332s have low res screen in Y).

A330-300 J class seats
Hi,
I am flying business class DOH-LHR on 16th October 2015 and I noticed that the aircraft is a330-300. As there was no first class fare, I assume it's a two-class configuration. I wanted to know if the seat will be 180 degree lie-flat or the old 165 degree seats. As far as I know, the a330-200s and 320s have been refurbished so I am not sure about the a330-300. Does anyone know if all old aircrafts have been refurbished?
Many thanks
