The reconfigured A332 comes in two versions, one is distinguishable by the 4th row being behind the galley and doesn't use the B/E Diamond seats. The second reconfigured A332 version uses the B/E Diamond seats and is not distinguishable from the seat map. For updated info, refer to the wiki on this thread.

I just got an email that QR evening flight HKG-DOH on May 7 operated by CX on same schedule, as QR 5800 (CX645) with A333 (I just hope CX will provide its long-haul version, 4 abreast in J, and not the atrocious regional version which is far worse than QR's A332s). Another proof that QR is accelerating the refurbishment program ?

If QR will operate the A330's, then CX offers a better product.

Just called CX to check my booking and it is indeed going to be operated by the long haul aircraft with 1-2-1 seat layout. Huge step up from slopey seats ^

Back to the old topic. So now 4 A320s have been reconfigured with the new Business class seats. Here is a list: A7AHR, A7AHS, A7AHT, and A7AHU. A7AHW is not flying since Feb. 20 so I guess it’s getting the new seats now. To sum up by the end of this month we will have 5 A320s with the new seats. The question is how many of the A320s is QR going to reconfigure?

Could any of you QR experts take a look at the seatmap for tomorrow's (March 16) QR 77/78?
I just checked my seats and saw the following:
- A330-200
- business is 2-2-2 configuration
- 3 rows of business in the first section (rows 1-3)
- 1 row of business behind the 2nd door (row 4)
- eco from row 10 until 41
As I have not seen this configuration before, I am hoping for a reconfigured plane. Any opinions?

Greg45,
Tomorrow's QR77/78 seems to be the new config. I can tell because the economy layout is different, Row 26 is 7 across, Row 27 is 5 across, Row 28 is 4 across. In the old 2 class config all these rows are 8 across.
Please give us a review of the new seats, they are an evolution of the 777 seats.

From what I can see, business class row 4 is now where economy row 10 was previously. The two toilets forward of row 4 may have been removed.
Row 26, which was 2-4-2 is now 2-3-2, and 27 is now 2-3-L, with an additional lavatory where seats 27J and K once were. This is to compensate, at least in part, for the non availability of the two forward economy class passenger lavatories mentioned above.
Having said that, have just looked on Expert Flyer, and QR77 for tomorrow is now shown to be a three class 333, with economy starting at row 16. This changed while I was compiling this post!

I've still got both seat plans on my navigation bar, and its possible to flip from one to the other.
One other interesting aspect. I've just checked the seat plan of a 332 flight that I have booked for late May, and seats 26G, 27G, 27J and 27K are all blocked off. Perhaps its to allow for the possibility of this flight being a reconfigured 332.

And with it went my seats in row 2 of business class. I will see what happens tomorrow and which plane actually turns up at the gate. To be continued.
Update: Flight was operated by A330-300 with the old business class. It really is about time that QR update these seats.
At least we have learnt, what the seatmap for the reconfigured A330-200 looks like.
