WBUR now says it was a 62-year-old woman who was claustrophic and disruptive. No note, no screwdriver and no lotion/vasiline.
She must have been really disruptive to have the flight diverted!!! |

The other story is that she was claustrophobic and went batty due to encroachment into her "space". Didn't they have a diversion of a UA p.s. flight last year when a Japanese gentleman wrote something in his notebook about "bomb" and had an iPod and some lip balm in his bag? |
This is great publicity - the cost associated with this fiasco should be part of the investigation/reforms governing campaign funding.
 |

I believe it was either KL or LH that said if a PAX is caught with stuff, the plane will be diverted and the cost will be assessed to the PAX. I hope this happens to you and the rest of the morons on here who want to be all Thoreau-like. |

Just look at the posts in this thread between "will smuggle water" and "must follow the rules". Such a conversation on board could easily lead to an "altercation". People who argue about policies are frequently classified as distraught. Someone will have to explain how she got those items on board or how the media got it so wrong. |

AP now reporting BOS airport officials saying that there was no note or any of the other mentioned items (WBUR)
how the hell does the media turn a claustrophic and disruptive PAX into one having a screwdriver, vaseline and an AQ note? |
The reporter who initially crafted the 'list' of banned items this passenger had from their own imagination needs to be tossed under a bus...that's a good start for the day. We can work on the TSA after that.
Is it any wonder I can't stand to go anywhere near the news these days....not for it being bad, just because it's overwraught with stupid ignorant sensationalism. Edward R Morrow would not be amused. |

Not directed to anyone in particular: Latest news is there was no screwdriver, no vaseline, no al-Qaeda note. just a distraught pax. Just yet another overreaction by the idiots in charge. |
My question is why did the pilot land in BOS if there was a problem?
