They got their funding, this was all a carefully executed plan to boost numbers before getting more cash to burn. Nothing more.

Oh it probably just means your trial is expiring. I am sure you can still buy it for the $5K or whatever it costs now.

Yes, million points promotion.
Membership expires mid September (one more month)

I am actually really active and thinking to buy the cheapest membership if they can offer a special discount (e.g. $5k + 2k flight credit or similar)

Any experience so far?

I can't see any reason why they shouldn't want to give you 40% off after giving you 1/4 of a year free, especially if you're "really active."

Just one more data point:

I am chartering from NYC to South Florida on a GIV heavy this fall.

My broker came back with her best quote of $19k all-in.

The best price on JetSmarter app is $23,112 all in, which is +$4,112/+22%

Just an FYI.

What company would you be chartering the jet with? Just out of curiosity.

No, I did not. I would like to know I can rely on JS and the app to give me competitive pricing the first time.

Going back to them after checking with a reputable charter operator to have them try to match the price seems like too much hassle, and I have no reason to switch.

If JS consistently displayed the most competitive charter prices right on the app, combined with the ease of booking, I would be VERY tempted to just use them. However, I am not willing to pay a 30% premium to use an app.

I am a smart member in Europe. I have had great experiences with JetSmarter. I frequently fly between London and Paris, and find great value in the jet deals when they become available in my location.

I do not believe you will have luck in receiving a special discount as you described. In my experience, the flight credit "extra" has only gone to smart or sophisticated members even when you refer new members...

Questions for current members who use NYC shuttles:

How are you getting between Manhattan and HPN? It's like a 45 minute drive, no?

I am mulling over a membership again, but wondering how it's working out with no helis. Or are people usually paying the $250 and the helis are going fairly regularly?

HPN is not convenient for me as 99.9% of what I do is on Manhattan. Thanks.

1) It'll be closer to 90 minutes than 45 at almost any time of day to most of Manhattan.
2) The helis are $350 (at least for Smart members). If they go.

Thanks, Millions.

Are they usually going in your experience? Don't love paying $350 each time to get where I need to go.

Uber looks to be around $70-80 non surge pricing but anyone whose actually done it can chip in with data point. Certainly not pro public transportation friendly.

The other option is GCT->White Plains through MetroNorth and then Uber. In theory it should be cheaper and more reliable.
