Well, I'll admit that I've posted useless stuff in OMNI. For me, that was part of the "free nature" of it. I hope though I didn't offend anyone, and would really like to meet some of the frequent posters - you sound like fun people
My email is in my profile, and I've never gotten a flame from posts. Hey, it's a junk mail account, but I check it many times per day.
If Randy shut OMNI temporarily, that's his perogative, and I will abide by his terms. FlyerTalk in general has been very good for me, (AC forum and SW forum), and I just ignore threads I don't want to read.
Once again, thanks, Randy for having FT online.
Matt

If we want an area on FlyerTalk where we are free to post whatever we desire (excepting personal attacks and vulgarities) then, IMHO, it must be totally free, and that freedom may include certain persons going on a wild posting frenzy from time to time.
Why (how) does this really matter? In what way could it possibly affect me?
There are some posters who I think are very smart and/or funny and I frequently read their threads, even if I am not particularly interested in the subject. There are other posters who simply don't interest me. I don't read their threads/posts and what they have to say never even gets on my radar screen and doesn't bother me one whit. How easy a solution is that?
I am certain that every person registered on FT is perfectly capable of learning this technique.

I never knew just how much I counted on FT & Omni to keep me amused during lunch.
In the past 2 days that Omni has been out of service I managed to get good & sick after eating (yesterday) and today, I find myself looking for something to do while I finish eating (work, perhaps?).
My name is Mary2e, and I'm an Omni addict too....

Mapleleaf, you are a very naughty boy. I know someone who will take your VISA card and give you the "punishment" you so richly deserve!

Maybe I should have included my signature.
Now you know why I love FT, there are so many great individuals in here, and thanks for the kind emails.
I still have a real job, at least until October

The rewards of moderating OMNI cannot be measured monetarily.
I do it for the sense of duty and satisfaction of doing a job well done. Along with the occasional heartburn
