LHGLOB26 - Low Season 26k

syd-laxx-jfk-lhr-fra-zrhx-bom-bkk-hkgx-bnex-syd

Could I know how many points would accrue on the above itinerary for a QFF silver status? Also, how many SCs if any?

Allowed 5 stops so I have identofoed JFK, LHR, FRA, BOM, BKK as stops.

If not for time restrictions, I could have considered 3/4/5 continent fares on offer. Suggestions for alternatives welcome...however, JFK and BOM are important to me. All others are not critical.

Thanks

You were lucky to get this ticketed - it seems to me to break one rule clearly (5 segments in the continent of origin), and it's debateable about whether it breaks another
33N . A. 2 PERMITTED IN NORTH AMERICA. 1 MUST BE A
34N . TRANSIT WITHOUT STOPOVER BETWEEN SOUTH
35N . AMERICA AND ANOTHER CONTINENT.
when clearly you are not transiting between S America and another continent, you are transiting between S America and S America.

Was this under the current xONE4 rules, and if so was it Qantas that ticketed it?

I can't figure out any of your three complex DONEs.

In the first, what airport is AUD that you transit twice?

In the 2nd, you leave MAD for LIM, then hop back to MAD in Europe again, an obvious backtracking...

And the last has you in South America, then backtracking to Miami, then back to South America again...

Contest: Who has the most miles in a ONEx?

Using the current RTW rules, and without tricky open jaws, if you can beat:

ONE6 67,400 miles
ONE5 74,100 miles
ONE4 70,300 miles
ONE3 43,300 miles

please post here or PM me with the route and I'll keep track.

I would say for both of those "or"s I would choose AA mainly because of MRTC (greater Y seat pitch). Only thing QF/BA would have over AA on those sectors would be seat back IFE.

Your're right - my mistake - the ADL-SYD-ADL was ticketed separately. I keep track of my sectors flown and forgot which ticket was which.
Re the S-N America transfer - Qantas ok'd this at the time.

1. My mistake - AUD should read AUH (Abu Dhabi)
2. Your're right - my mistake - LIM-AMS-LIM was ticketed separately. I keep track of my sectors flown and forgot which ticket was which.
3. See my note above

Sorry for confusing everyone!

The other thing QF/BA have over AA on those sectors is the ability to earn SC's as well (there's no SC's on L class fares on AA with QF unfortunately, even though that's been changed in reverse now). Though a measly 25% of miles on BA isn't that exciting anyway, at least the SC's remain.

You have got to look at the ONE5! It is elegant. It flows visually. It only passes thru four airports twice (LHR, SCL, LAX, HKG). It hardly touches North America. And it goes to some neat places! Click on the link below.

Current bests:

ONE6 67,400 miles
ONE5 80,261 miles http://tinyurl.com/67wpm
ONE4 70,300 miles
ONE3 55,500 miles

Please post your best distance RTW routes here or PM me with the route and I'll keep track!

while it is a thing of beauty, I can't see how you can fit in CCS in South America - how do you fly CCS-EZE ?

Can you put up the xONE6

Hi,

If you can get so far on a xONE5 then why is the xONE6 mileage so much lower?

Just interested as the xONEx season has just started for me again! Once a month for the next 5 months, at least.

Thanks
