Problem still there

Has anyone else experienced problems with the award availability calendar popping up? For the record, yes, I make sure I am logged in first. The calendar always would pop up in the past; during the last two weeks it's been sporadic. Sometimes both departing and returning calendars come up; sometimes just departing shows up and no returning; and just tonight I could get both departure and return calendars for AMS availability but nothing would come up for for GIG or BKK.

To expand this item from #1 - (this thread is gettin *way* too unwieldy):
> * Specify booking class and fare code for each flight separately. seems like, in even a simple search mode, when cherry-picking ("select this flight") one desired route, the b/c & farecode information is stripped off the offerings in any subsequent windows ~ extremely irritating & even worse with a multi-city situation. Sure makes for a lot of do-overs  > * Pop-up Calendar: does this work for *anybody* (except the IT geeks, of course) ? Absolutely refuses to populate the data box & seems designed only to HIDE same. /. |

Even when I manually change the date in the date box, the calender is still stuck in the original dates. Two :td::td: |

Funny you should mention Orbitz. If you look at the bottom of their new flight search page you will see that it is:
"powered by Orbitz Technology" :D Dave |

Well, there you are!!@:-) Orbitz intentionally designed the Northwest booking site with bugs so Orbitz will get more business.;)
Dave stupid Netflix pop up. Wish I would know how to stop that nonsense. Orbitz is the worst and slowest site of all these travel sites. But I guess these airlines all sort of hook up with the travel sites. I was looking for a trip with Asiana and their booking engine looked very much like Expedia's. |
Here is a good and a new one, found just now researching SEA-NRT
roundtrips : "Results found include an online partner carrier that is not able to be purchased on nwa.com, please contact 1 800 447 3757 to book your flights." Will not even let me look, comes up immediately after entering search criteria:mad: |

That is, if you choose Northwest as a carrier. Often, there will be another airline with a cheaper ticket to where you are going. Why would a company send you to a site that has competetors that undercut their fare? Is this the new Bus.101? Dave |

website/notification issue
I am not sure if this is the correct thread, but I will start here. I recently switched carriers from sprint to Att wireless. While using sprint I was able to get upgrade notifications via text message. However, since changing carriers I am no longer getting notifications via text message. Is this a website issue or is this a cell carrier issue? Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix?

When I first started this thread last year I had the hopes that there would be two-way communication between the forum and NWA about these issues. It has happened but only to a degree. I was hoping to be able to manage this thread much like Scott (CO Insider) does over on the CO Forum. He actively posts about bugs that have been fixed, which ones are going through a QA cycle, etc. Feel free to PM me this info instead if you'd like. Thanks, RM |

NWScoop - it would be great if you could send me a list of the fixed bugs so I can take them off of the list.

Spring cash and miles
I just spent over two hours trying to book a ticket using this worthless tool.
I selected every combination of flights BNA-HKG for two different departure dates and two different return dates. After selection and checking seat availability for each combo, then trying to buy, I get "The selected itenerary is no longer available. Please make another selection." :td::td: Did the same for BNA-SIN with the exact same results. :td::td: I don't see how Delta's booking site that everyone is disparaging could be any worse. Dave |
On A Related Note
I created a separate thread on this one since it is not a direct issues with NWA.com; but it involves calls getting inadvertenly routed to the NWA.com support bridge instead of the WorldPerks line. I am not sure of the full scope of the issue; I get it when I call into the Silver Elite line. I am guessing that it is a bug with IVR routing on the phone system:
