Enhancement request
 

Now that we have "Add Flight Itinerary and Check-in Alerts", how about an "Add Seat Assignment Alert" (at 90 days pre-flight)?

I have a TPAC coming up that I want specific seats, and another flight with 3 other pax that I'd prefer to be reminded 90 days out, so we can all be sitting together. Seems that since the architecture is in place to calculate and create meeting notices, adding seat assignment alerts should be an easy one.

Unable To Book Award Reservation
 

Trying for three hours now to book a Japan-US flight. Tons of availibility on
NWA.com but after choice message comes up : a processing error has occurred. Why would that be??? Is it my fault as I am mixing coach to and
WBC from U.S?

I have been unable to get the award calendar to work properly.

When searching for LSE-SAN for January dates, it showed PerkSaver availability on several dates on the calendar. However, when actually searching for those dates, no availability was found (even though the calendar still showed it).

Weirder still, I then searched for MSP-SAN, starting January 8th. Although the calendar was grey (no perksaver availability), there were 8 partner flights available at perksaver levels.

When searching for a multi-city itinerary you can't type in a date on the third leg because the slash "/" character is not allowed.

I hate using the auto-calendar feature, too. I'm a keyboard user. This used to work and probably got broken during one of NWA's updates.

Yes, I am still trying to make an award reservation. I select the Outbound segment, it displays, then I click to choose the Return segment and I am back in the Flight options page. This is a vicous cycle, never ends. Since
Japan is closed for the night, I tried to call the U.S. number that is given in the phone number page at NWA.com. When I call a recording comes up that the number is changed to an 800 number, which I cannot call from overseas.
It really is more than just frustrating.

I never can book a trans-Pacific award ticket, always get the same error message as you refer to after I select my return flights.

And the funny ( ? ) thing is that NW reservations will ask me why I did not book this on the internet? Daaah!!!!!!! I ask them the same question and the answer is????? I don;t know. Daaah!!!!!!!!!!

I would invest in Skype, as they have no problems in calling US 800 numbers.

Given the impending doom of fuel surcharges, I've been going through many of my awards and optimizing the flight times, and choosing a correct return (flights too far out previously).

I noticed something strange. On international flights with NW flight numbers (even on codeshares), it shows a lower amount than normal. So PHX-SJO (with NW flight number) it's 17.5k each way saver, 25k waster, instead of the normal 35k amount.

The same thing happened on domestic trips as well. For a domestic PHX-DTW ticket, 12.5k saver, 20k waster.

Perhaps it's just a bug, or maybe a rollout of new levels?

Jaimito, please see the other ongoing thread about Award tix on NW. Apparently NW is changing the way they price award tickets based on season, carrier and number of available seats on the flight. So in other words, you may never know what to expect to pay for an award ticket because it might change daily. This is not a website bug at this point.

Anyone else having problems changing seats at nwa.com today? I can pull up my PNR, but when I click on the seat it just hangs trying to do the update. Got error messages earlier today too.

Not a big deal since my EUA already ran, just not to where I want to sit.

Seat maps have been incredibly slow for me today as well but they eventually load (I'm using Firefox).

Found 12 different allowable flights on the the web site tonight that resulted in a 'processing error' and it sure ain't the first time this has happened.

Calendar is only to be used as guide since it's terribly inaccurate.

Sorry. Just frustrated.

Seat maps still not loading... (29-JUL-2008)
 

Seems like nwa.com seat maps were failing to load several days ago, per previous posts. Here it is 29-JUL and I my seat maps don't come up. :(
