Awesome! I mean... EXCITING!!
Not much of a GM user -- is there anyway to know what date it is? Or to download the image?

This looks like this was taken in the summer when NW was operating a DC-10/744 on the HNL-NRT route. You can tell it's not NW98 because the 747 is pulling back for taxi to NRT. So this is the second NRT flight.

Northwest posts final TATL DC-10 trip photos
"NWA Moments" has a photo set on Flickr now showing shots from the final transatlantic DC-10 back in October.

Oh, and word from one of the NWA DC-10 folks who we met that day in HNL is that they are "scrambling feverously to get the last bits and pieces
of the DC-10 retirement party together for tomorrow evening." Oh, to be in Minnesota!

Alright, well it's absolutely beautiful today (just in time for the annual Punahou Carnival) and for the last four days or so, all the aircrafts have been taking off in the opposite direction. So that means anyone landing into HNL has the opportunity to have a great view of Waikiki, Downtown Honolulu, and the greater Honolulu area on arrival!
