Effective MAY 5 2018 - FHV pickup for Terminal B permanently located on 2nd level of garage - https://twitter.com/lgacentral/statu...10117236142080 - exit the Departures level and proceed to the bridge at the far right, enter the Garage, and find your lettered pickup lane/column.

FHV pickup for Terminals C and D require taking a free shuttle to the Marine Air Terminal for pickup at that location. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/new-...minal-c-d.html
As of August 2019, FHV pickup for Terminals C and D is now available in the curb area between the two terminals.

As of August 2019 - Yellow Taxi pickup for Terminal B may require shuttle bus transfer during peak traffic periods. Yellow Taxi pickup for Terminals C and D is via shuttle bus to Terminal A at all times! - https://twitter.com/LGAairport/status/994659741568774155/photo/1

Can anyone give me some advice before I book? Thanks in advance.
Where in NYC will you be leaving from?

Bottom line, though, is to choose based on whichever airport is more convenient to you, not based on the construction.

Wall Street area. And I assume EWR would be closer. But I am just wondering.

I am...thoroughly confused. I've (re)read this entire thread as well as the LGA website. Right now, if I fly Delta into Terminal C/D at LGA, where do FHV pickup? The LGA website makes it seem like only Terminal B has FHV pickup? https://www.laguardiaairport.com/to-...d-shared-rides

[we are planning a trip, prob Nov/Dec this year, so I acknowledge things can change between now and then ;-) But just for some personal clarity right now, I'd love to know]

For our last trip to NYC, I made sure we flew to JFK because of the hassles at LGA I'd read about here. But taking Blumie's words to heart, I'm back to looking at whether or not it really is such a hassle...We don't know where we're staying yet, though typically we stay somewhere Murray Hill or, last time, Bryant Park ish.....Thanks all!

At Terminal C/D the pickup area is right in front of the terminal; that never changed. The issue was only at the Central Terminal (Term. B).

FHV pickup at LGA C and D is no more difficult than FHV pickup at any JFK terminal, and a much shorter ride to Manhattan.

We got burned on a particularly long drive from LGA to Manhattan 2 trips ago so my husband is wary ;-) Anyway, he just decided we should go to Chicago this time anyway. So....

LGA Redevelopment

Does anyone have a timeline as to when the new terminal B will open? I read that it was November, including a new Air Canada lounge - any updates?
thanks

There were a bunch of news reports this summer saying that the first new concourse (not the terminal building itself) will open this fall. I'm not sure exactly when that will happen.

See, e.g.:
https://thepointsguy.com/news/laguar...ing-this-fall/
https://newyorkyimby.com/2018/07/la-...r-headway.html

I just really, really hope that they don't insist on having Concourse A and Concourse B at Terminal B (with the MAT retaining the Terminal A label). Just call them concourse X and Y or something different to distinguish concourses from terminals! Please!

Count on 2019 at the earliest, IMHO

We'll now merge this into the main thread - please add updates to the wikipost.

I've also now added this thread to the Sticky post #3 .

Terminal B taxi stand

As of last week, the Terminal B taxi shuttles were going all the way to the rental car center for taxi pickups. At peak times, expect a significant wait for the shuttle, then a 5-10 min ride, then a few min additional wait time at the taxi stand. FHV is right in the Terminal B garage and so may be worth considering as a faster option. Always be sure to check both Uber & Lyft for price differences.

In NYC you also want to check Juno, which gives the drivers a bigger cut of the fare than Uber or Lyft. PM for a referral code if you don't already have an account.

Air Canada and Southwest will operate from the new concourse starting this Saturday, December 1. United will move there in 2019.
