I will be heading to Horseshoe on December 28th. Looking back to posts from last winter, the aisle seems to offer SUVs, but I plan to rent one to be safe. Anyway, just looking at National's site to reserve...the 300 is classified as luxury???

Interesting... The 300 may have officially just creeped class. It does specify 300C though. This would support the report that a 300S with LCAR designation was spotted. Maybe base 300's are going to stay PXAR and 300C/S is going LCAR.

I spot checked a US location (LAX) which still has the long gone DTS listed as the example for Luxury.

The 300C (with the HEMI) has been an LCAR for a while now, though few locations seem to carry them. Most just have V6-powered 300's which are Premium (PXAR specifically).

I have been at yyz pretty much every week last few months the edges seams to be leaving and I have seen a surge of 300s (pxar) and buicks lacrosse(pcar). I was told by one of the managers that they will replace the the g37x (gxar) with Bmw 328s in fact my last 2 rentals there I got G37xs and they had over 20k kms.

Seems that YYZ (and other Canadian locations) maintains a better fleet selection and orders superior cars over its American counterparts.

I was told in YOW that the 328s are comming to replace the dreaded Mustang GT's. Reason why is people just beat the living piss out of these cars, thus national does not want them anymore, and figure that the 328's (mid range beemers) would be driven more respectfuly.

Just what I was told.

As long as I know they don't keep the mustangs on the winter months, the ones I drove were not equipped with all season tires. They had them last summer as well, and most of them are limited with " my key" so people can't really abuse them since you cant turn the traction control off, put the stereo on full blast and some of them are limited to 130km/h.

My experience with MyKey is that you also receive the administrator key with your rental.

I have had only 1 rental where MyKey had a profile. I noticed because the radio couldn't go above 1/4 of volume. I used the other key and no longer had this issue and deleted the other MyKey profile so I didn't have to figure out which key to use.

Maybe I just got lucky??

I got lucky i had 3 mustang gt 5.0 2 of them had no my key (I checked 5 cars to find one with my key disabled) and one of them had but only limited the stereo and you cant turn the t/c off no speed limiter. All of them came with just one key.
