What's the best way to "emigrate" from KrisFlyer *G to Diamond Club (don't mind it being Silver - can work my way up from there while still using *G privileges for another year)?
I assume DC only matches non-*A status so I would need something to move to in between.

Alright im hoping someone can help me.
Im picking United for my airline and doing a decent amount of traveling in the coming months, so I am wondering do the status matches/challenges for UA allowable only once? Im trying to just get a 2P challenge as I am a leasuire traveler. I would hate to kill the only challenge opp for me by obtaining the lowest level, in which I should clear this year with my planned travel.

Just a data point: my request for status match from Southwest A-list to United 2P was denied. United said their status match program does not include Southwest.

US Airways
Given the current US Airways transfer promotion and bonus for preferred, I'll be the first to ask:
any recent luck getting US Airways status matches, or any recent news on some of their "Race to preferred" or "preferred trial" promotions?
EDIT: Just spoke to US Airways.
They do not match, but they did currently offer the 90 day trial preferred membership for anyone who has not dropped down from status in the past 24 months. Unfortunately, because I took advantage of that USAirways/Budget Rental free preferred trial last summer, I'm not eligible, and they were pretty strict on it.
Details, if you are eligible: seems to have $15 fee, silver preferred good for 90 days, need to fly 7,500 miles to maintain it within 90 days.
EDIT Seems to be a YMMV on the $15 fee. Others are reporting $200, though I was quoted if I had been eligible it would've only been $15.

What other airline would be willing to match SQ *G? Does BA do status matching at all?

Oh, I didn't know they matched. That's good to know.
