Any recent experiences with SPG status match? How long does it take usually? I would like to match my Hyatt Diamond to SPG Plat and am wondering if anyone has any recent experiences they would like to share.

I am Hilton Diamond until March 2011. Really don't have a ton of stays, but tend to spend $5,000 per year at Hilton Hotels. Will Starwood automatically match me even if they don't see a lot of stays ?
Also if I wait until July 2010 to try and get the match - if accepted when would it expire ? My plan is to get Starwood, then Hyatt - then get Hilton again.
Thanks

In SPG's case I am not completely certain though I suspect if you are a legit Hilton Diamond, by spend rather than by stays, that it'll work. Please report back your results!

What I had done was to e-mail [email protected] and attached two pdf files, one showing my Marriott account profile and one showing my stay history for the past 13 months.
This one time upgraded membership lasts for the whole year of 2010!

Hyatt status match...
Hello,
I am interested in matching my SPG Plat status with hyatt hotels & resorts. I do know that the best time for a SPG status match is after May 1st, because you will then have status for nearly 2 years. But when is the best time to status match with hyatt?
regards

Is there an email address to which I can send a request for status match for Hyatt (from SPG Plat)? I saw a fax number on in the first post but it will be easier for me by email.

Just to report my recent Hyatt experience (which is consistent with other reports), Hyatt took about 4 days to match my MR platinum to diamond thru 2/2011. I used the fax no in the initial post in this thread and provided copies of the last months of my Marriott statement and copies of my MR card.
