I agree about getting the screenshot; however here is some food for thought. I did a BRG in May. I booked the room, after seeing the better price on Travelocity, and submitted BRG claim withing10 mins of booking. It took a few days for CC to respond, and in the process (due to the BRG Claim?? maybe) the rate changed on Travelocity, going up. They did match and discount 25%, but off of the new higher rate.

I went back and forth with them providing screenshots of the rate I saw, but it was extremely aggravating and I eventually gave up. Every time I would email, they would ask me to send my proof again in a different way as they could not open the attachment, or it was too large, or place it in the body, or our email system is blocking attachments. Every excuse in the book as to why they could not see my proof was given to me. I began copying other people I knew on the correspondence and CC was the only one "having a problem" with anything I sent. I tried resizing, attachments in different forms, pasting in the body etc……………... Eventually I just gave up over getting the difference because each email I sent took at least 24 hours for them to respond.

So if you have to use your screenshot to prove your stance be prepared for a great big run around. If you are more persistent than I was you will probably win, but prepare for a hassle. You might have better luck if you called, got someone on the phone and had them hold while you tried each method they requested. They might give up first if you keep them on the phone waiting.

They do provide a fax number for you to send your screenshots in to. There response time is a little better and you don't have to deal with the run around.

My first attempt at an attachment to an email said their email system could not open attachments and to attach it to the body of the email. I skipped it and went straight to fax.

The fax number is:

Can I check in and pay for family members rooms and the points still be earned if the cc doesn't match?

Also can I stay at both a radisson and park inn on the same night and earn both bonuses at the same time?

I'm not sure about your second question, but as to your first, i checked in to a park inn along with my girlfriend..i used my credit card for both rooms and the points for both of us have posted. So you should be good to go at that point.

As a side note, we have both completed our stays for all hotels on top of last years promo...all told, we'll be sitting on 411K points, or 8 nights at a radisson blue. Pretty sweet...some hotel stays i actually used, but most were mattress runs and those I got for less than $65 a night locally in DFW.

We just booked a weekend trip to MSP using AA miles (Citi reduced award--17.5K times 2=35K minus 10% miles rebated= 31.5K used). Since we needed hotel, we each booked one night at the Park Plaza in Bloomington. Used the cash & points for the following: (1st night: $54 + 5K pts and 2nd night: $52 + 5K pts). Not too bad. I am Gold and my night is first. I will try to see what works out on upgrades and keep the same (hopefully upgraded ;)) room for my wife's 2nd night.

Another 50K pp and I told my wife that the MSP area has the largest mall in the USA. (I won't tell her that the mall in Canada is larger ;)).

May do other sightseeing too. Got decent flight times & it is before the promo ends. Trip is quick--Sat to Monday. No vacation time used. ^

stayed at country inn on 3rd july, & 4rth july mine and wife's account. waiting for the 44k points.

Booking vs. staying

Does the promotion actually require a stay before July 15th or does it require you book the room before July 15th. Milemonster seems to indicate that all you have to do is book by the 15th.

Already answered in Post #445. But why aren't you reading the Radisson terms & conditions instead of Milemonster?:

Guest must check in for the Qualifying Stay on or after May 15, 2012 and check out must be completed no later than July 15, 2012 ("Promotion Period").

NEVER rely on a third party website!

The only exception is for the separate Park Plaza Ultimate Night Giveaway, where you have until August 28 to check out. See www.parkplazaultimatenightgiveaway.com.

Ord Liza Jul 6, 2012 6:51 am

The other exception is the Park Inn, where you have until July 22nd...

I will be staying 2 nights first in a Park Inn by Radisson hotel and another 2 nights in Radisson hotel. Will I be getting these points based on the number of night per each or stays?

I mean, will I be getting 15000pts/night making a total of 30000pt for park inn and 30000pt for Radisson OR 15000pt for Park Inn and another 15000pt for Radisson.

Many thanks in advance for the clarification :D

You only get the bonus (50,000 or 44,000 if you signed up early or 15,000 if you signed up more recently) after your first stay of any length at each property for which you registered.

So if you registered for Radisson and Park Inn when they were at 15,000 each, you will receive a 15,000-point bonus after your first Radisson stay, regardless of the length of the stay and a 15,000-point bonus after your first Park Inn stay, regardless of the length of your stay.

Many thanks. I signed up early, like same day or a day after the launch of the website. Does it mean I will get 50000 or 44000 + 15000? Guess this is correct.

I was thinking it is 50000 or 44000 + 15000/night so I was prepared to stay at different hotels for every night just for more points :D :p

It's a single promotion (Radisson/Park Inn Night Giveaway) and you cannot get it more than once. The first 100K who registered will get 50K from Radisson and 40K from Park Inn (if you registered on time for both promos). If you didn't register on time, then you only get 15K for each.
Since you did register on time, you will get 50K for your Radissson stay (regardless of how many days it is) and 40K for your Park Inn stay. You will NOT get an additional 15K. If you try to register now again, it will tell you that you're already registered for the promo.

Then something has probably gone wrong for you. Did you receive base points but no bonus or nothing at all? My wife and I have 8 stays November last year through July this year, all posted with the bonus in 3 days. Everyone else I have seen on here, MP, etc. has gotten their points in 3 days.

progapanda Jul 7, 2012 11:42 am

Nothing, even though I see my stay recorded under my Club Carlson account under "Recent Stays."

It seems there are others on this thread who also did not receive their points within the 3 day timeframe you described. Nonetheless, thanks for your feedback, I'll submit a claim for missing points in the next day or two.

This is not true... my points didn't go in within 3 days. Park Inn went in after 6 and Radisson went in after 5 so it can vary and I can only guess here but with a huge promotion like this it can take more than the so called "norm" few days. I read on another forum it took someone over a week or so to get theirs...

Progapanda...You can always go on the Club Carlson facebook page and ask them there...they are fairly quick to reply to posts.

yOyOYoo Jul 7, 2012 6:35 pm

Just wanted to update that I received my 50K points after a hotel run at Radisson on July 3rd. I don't know how it adds up, but I have 60,645 points. Probably some bonus points for registering, making online booking, and spending $97 for the night.

I will say that the BRG was very inconvenient and troublesome as I had to call several different CSR reps and even send one a screen capture of the cheaper rate after they did not respond to my BRG claim after 3 days.

I wanted to do some other hotel runs, but I can't find anything cheaper than $130, and don't think it's worth it to pay that much to pick up some more points...

I did BRG for the first one as well and then points/cash for the others. You should have better rate options that way. Radissions were $66 with tax that way in SLC.

Just reregister with the account number. If that works, she never was registered. If she is already registered, it'll tell you

That's under $40 ai per night for 9 stays. You must have done some impressive BRG.

The registration for Radisson 50K CC bonus points is full up; so if you did not register in time, the bonus is now only 15k points. To qualify for the 50K bonus, you need to have checked out of a Radisson hotel by 15th July.

I don't know the conditions for the Country Inn or Park Inn bonus point giveaways.

There is a Park Plaza 50K bonus points giveaway requiring registration and a stay at a Park Plaza hotel by 28 August.

Sorry: didn't see that this question had been answered already.

There are among us those who need to brag, in great detail. Bragging is fun. But not in such detail in FlyerTalk. It does not help the collective good, especially with a very young program. But it is done.

Deleted details

cfuss Jul 9, 2012 9:40 pm

Forgot about this until this weekend! Booked a radisson (chs) for $52 but country inn is $98.... With the brg, it hopefully goes down to (75% of $89). Booked both for thursday night. 44k+50k would be sweet!

Has anyone confirmed whether checkout is needed or not? I dont want to bother with x-town traffic!

For a newbee, are there any holes or suggestions on how i should have done this better today or for the future?

samineni3 Jul 9, 2012 11:09 pm

I didn't checkout, only stayed for 2 hours and left. points posted on time.

Club Carlson allows you to transfer points from one account to another for free with no cap. Every room I listed was registered for, per the terms of the promo, paid as outlined and occupied. CC made it clear that any rate that earns points would be eligible, allowing me to lower my overall cost. They also advertise that you will receive more miles for a larger point conversion. In fact, I'd argue that my methodology was perhaps more beneficial to CC itself. After I did the promo last year, I got a lot of inquiries about the CC brand. In addition to family members staying for a night on my dime to give me points, a lot of my co-workers checked out the brand locally and booked rooms on the road. They were very excited to see the promo back this year. So I will have more than paid for my redemptions and earned CC a few loyal customers in the process…which I believe is the spirit of the promo.

The collective good will be just fine.

naples_flyer Jul 10, 2012 9:17 am

Park Plaza

I had an oversold flight in Minneapolis last night and I took the flight voucher and spent the night. As I had registered for the Park Plaza program I booked a stay there.

The hotel is adequate for a nights stay...nothing very fancy. The best part was the free shuttle to/from the airport.

I have now completed the Radisson/Country Inn/Park Inn/Park Plaza foursome. I am off to Europe soon and I hope to use the points there.

toomanybooks Jul 10, 2012 9:32 am

Various of us could post exactly the same thing. Please delete this. This sort of bragging will kill future promos. Does us no at all good.
