Just booked for both...one week apart

Going to be 100 miles total per stay.

Anyone? Any thoughts?

Not trying to get crazy but time is of the essence so I'm honestly seeking feedback for any foreseeable problems with doing a hotel-run in (1) night for all (3) brands. Thanks for any feedback. ^

Don't do it. Use your wife's account, or brother etc. Look in their T&C if overlaping stays get points. But I would not do it anyway.

I just checked into the Radisson - O'Hare.

I must say, I am pretty impressed so far. Received two breakfast coupons at check-in and had some welcome amenities waiting in our room. The Roo is pretty average for this class of hotel, but very modern looking. The bed is a Sleep Number, which is extremely comfortable.

I can't see myself ever NEEDING to stay at a hotel near ORD, but I would definitely consider the Radisson if the situation arose.

^^^

This question has been covered. You'll be lucky if you do earn points for 2 properties... and mattress hopping 3 properties should justifiably raise a red flag with Carlson. You might all your bonuses in jeopardy.

Go with multiple accountholders, or just find a way to do different nights.

Radisson Big Night Giveaway is BACK

Just checked into country inn Waldorf, MD. Nice so far. Welcome amenity in the room as a non elite member. The room could actually be cleaner but overall it'll down for 2 nights and 88k points.

apolloms Jun 16, 2012 11:02 am

Think I'm going to test the checkin and not check out theory. Just landed in JFK from Rome and have a reservation tonight at the radius on Philly, I live an hour away from Philly and feel like spending the night in my own bed.....going to swing by the hotel and check in and go home I think.

My wife has been traveling for work and stayed at a Country Inn and a Radisson and got both bonuses. She was going back to the same city with the Country Inn and I was debating how to get my number on her reservation. All I did was go into my Club Carlson acct, changed it to her name and made the reservation. She completed the stay and about three days later, all points including the 44k bonus posted to my account. I then changed the name on the account back to mine. Score!

(Please read the thread. It's all been covered so many times.)

If it's your account, and you want points, you have to be the room to check in.
If this is all happening in another city, and she's the only person who's going to be at the hotel, then it's her points or nobody's.

booking the first night at the radisson on her own account, booking the 2nd night at same hotel from my account but change the guest name to my sister's name and that way, i may get 2 55k=110k=points.
or i can book in her my niece's name since she is traveling with my sister but she is 19, so wonder if that's ok or not, she has a debit and chase freedom card

That's clearly against Club Carlson's Terms & Conditions.

I would kindly ask that you please keep your duplicity to yourself. Maybe if you do that, then in the future, others can continue to enjoy these good promotions from Club Carlson.

metoo Jun 17, 2012 5:55 pm

Just want to know if anyone received their 50k points bonus by using Cash and Points. It was $89 or 5000 pts plus $59. I definitely chose the cash and points.

EDIT- found the answer under hotels then Club Carlson...I am good to go

jonny1 Jun 17, 2012 6:54 pm

50k points posted!

So you say that if she gets the points in her acc. and transfers them everything is just fine whereas saving time for everyone is.. well.. what exactly did you say ?

arollins Jun 18, 2012 5:29 am

Yes

CC allows points transfer within accounts, it is free and it is done IMMEDIATELY. All you have to do is call give them your acct # how many points you want to transfer and the acct # to transfer to. There is thread on FT, on the hotels section describing all benefits and details of Club Carlson. I think this thread should finally be merged there.

It has taken me/wife/MIL about 4 days each time.

trayanh99 Jun 18, 2012 11:22 am

Can I make the reservation with my name and let someone else to check in to get the points?

arizonawildcat Jun 18, 2012 2:03 pm

To provide yet another data point. Stayed last week at a Country Inn. Did not check out in person - just left in the morning without stopping by the front desk. My bonus points and the hotel stay posted about 3 days later.

Because with all this crap they are going to. With all the greed on this I suspect that if we see this promo again it will be different.

Just had my stay at a radisson post but no bonus points posted...do I need to call in?

Folks are reporting that it takes about 4 days for points to show up. I would wait a bit

So the bonus points post separate than the stay points? Because my stay points posted.

I have received my points and bonus points from this stay.

pointspinnacle Jun 19, 2012 12:01 pm

Ihave registered for this promo and have my "stays" coming this weekend.

I want to be CLEAR with this promo so can someone or multiple people please confirm:

- You DO NOT need to CHECK OUT to get the points. ( i know the official terms say otherwise)? I have a booking and my spouse does at the same hotel. We are going to check in seperatley go to our assigned rooms seperately and leave. Any problems with that?

-Also 2 stays at radissons= 100,000 then an additional stay at park inn= 44,000. Total 144,000. I would like to get this to an even 150,000 for 3 nights at the best radisson blu. So I status matched to silver. I should be getting some additional CC points for online bookings right?? i thought i heard something about that? How much for that?? Also if room rates for all 3 rooms are in the $80 range how many points do i get for that?

Thanks!!! :)

No need to check out, however, you do NEED to check in. If concerned with checking out, just call front desk. I myself, along with many others post in this thread hace confirmed that you do not need to check out in person.

I did not know that you could double up on points with the same account. Promo wa offering 50k for Radisson, 44k for CI and PI, for a total of 138k points. I dont recall seeing others commenting on receiving double points on same account for 2 separate Radisson stays

1. Check in.
2. Actually use the room.

That's all.

Wife and I both completed 1 night stays at the Radisson Condado, points took about 4 days to post (all points stay, big night bonus, and status bonus) Also managed to sneak in a night at a Country Inn on the last night of the promo thanks to a business trip!

As has been stated so many times in this thread...

You'll earn 1000 points for each online booking.
You'll earn 20 points per dollar for your spending.

You shouldn't have any trouble hitting your target.

Please don't mess up the sheets unnecessarily. It's not very green.

You book a room, you check in. Those are the only requirements. It's none of the hotel's business what you do in the room, and whether you choose to sleep in it or not.

There is no need to physically check out. I rarely ever check out since hotels have been slipping receipts under the door. If it makes you feel better, call the hotel in the morning and ask them to check you out.
