That's not what he said! He said the 50k bonus only applied to one Radisson stay during the promotional timeframe.....meaning you can only earn it ONCE even if you stay at numerous Radisson hotels. Multiple night stays qualify for the bonus.

topcashback.com problem

I signed up, clicked on link for clubcarlson for the topcashback 10%..booked through club carlson site, added my club carlson membership number when I booked. 20 minutes later.when I called club carlson and said I can't see reservation on my account, CSR said your club carlson number is NOT on reservation. When she added my club carlson membership number, she said credit card info disappeared so I needed to give her credit card info again.

Now reservation appears when i logged onto club carlson but when i logged onto topcashback, it showed I NEVER linked to any merchant....

just a warning for folks...I guess i am out of luck....no 10% cashback

bevoinva May 17, 2012 7:42 am

Where are you looking on Topcashback? I noticed that if I close my browser, the history of my visits to other sites disappears the next time I open it up.

My Account, My visited site and it says :

Recently Visited Merchants

You do not appear to have clicked through to any of our merchants yet.

I think what I may have done wrong is instead of clicking "activate your account" through topcashback.com link to Radisson, I added my club carlson number on the line that says club carlson membership number? Who knows but if you say after you close the browser, history of my visits to other sites disappear, then where can I find out whether i have been successful or not using topcashback.com link

I'm not familiar enough with topcashback to give you an answer - hopefully someone else can chime in.

Not sure the software would know that you actually purchased something once you left the topcashback site until the merchant informs them.

Status Match

I've sent two email to CC regarding status match using this email address: [email protected]. No answer. Am I suppose to send more info other than a screenshot of my Priority Club membership card?

I sent one earlier this week. I called today and agent told me that the status matching is taking about 4-5 days right now because of the promo. I'll give it a few more days to see what happens.

SanDiego1K May 18, 2012 5:29 pm

For more information on all things Club Carlson, come visit its forum:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/club-carlson-428/

It has a lengthy thread specific to status matches:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/club-...tus-match.html

I hope that each of you participating in the promo will help build our body of knowledge about various hotels. Then as you use your points, share information about the hotels that you choose.

Is it still possible to get the offers or did they hit the limit on the offer anyone know? Was going to see if my parents also wanted to jump on the offer if still possible.

I have had the same question about topcashback. I re-booked a reservation a couple of days ago and nothing shows up. I just had to re-book the rest of the families reservations and I never had any click-throught show on my account. I did find in IE9 where I could see the cookie that applied to that page. I took a printout of the cookie for each session. Hopefully, that helps if these don't post.

Having to re-book has saved us about $20 per room, so we are already coming out ahead, even if we do not get the 10% back.

If you go to the 'Earnings' tab it will list pending awards. If you did it correctly it should list Raddisson/Country Inn as pending.

When I registered for a account, and opened up accounts for my parents I used the wrong promo code from last year 2000K instead of this year 4500 bonus for new members. I send in a e-mail hope me, and my parents can still get the 4500 as new members.

andrewsco May 19, 2012 1:20 am

Hi,

Does anyone know whether you could check into 2 hotels in the same day in the same city? I have booked a radisson hotel for a stay and will earn the 50k bonus for the stay however there is also a Park Inn close by. I am only staying one night in town but could check in and check out to both hotels - do you think there would be any issues with doing this?

I have to say I've used started using Carlson as my primary hotel - mainly because of the offers that they do tend to be great and i'm yet to have a bad experience in one of thier hotels.

Thanks

benthelefty May 20, 2012 4:17 pm

I think you're okay with the 2 reservations; I had an extended stay for Candlewood and stayed at another priority club property on another night (overlapping the other reservation)

Radisson Big Night Giveaway is BACK

At my local Radisson. Can't wait to get this stay done and get those points! Will enjoy the free breakfast in the morning.

saatx May 20, 2012 10:18 pm

abcx May 20, 2012 10:20 pm

The normal points for a May 16 stay posted yesterday, but not points from the bonus. I reserved the room hours before the promotion started, which means I'm in the group that they were not going to give the bonus to, but now say they will. I'll keep monitoring my account.

points posted

Received credit for stay and bonus points for the Country Inn.
The followup email begain
"Thank you for staying at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Grand Rapids Airport, MI, where you checked out on May 17, 2012"

Bonus points, stay points, and online booking bonus posted. I booked via TopCashBack and there it says "pending".

Gotta love Club Carlson. Now I can't wait until my Radisson stay :-) and then the Park. I can't believe (but I am so happy about) Michigan + plus it's neighboring city Toledo, have Parks. It involve just a short road trip.

I wouldn't bother with doing that. This is the type of questions that is best answered by CC, and I bet they do not even know. Why complicate things? My spidey senses tell me that you will get some people saying that they've done that and got their points, just as much as others saying they didn't get their points or had to argue, send emails to CS etc. Your question is still unanswered and you are back at the beginning.
CC could easily deny you on the grounds of "double dipping" You checked in at 3pm @ Radisson and then checked in @ 4pm at Park Inn, while still a guest @ Radisson. You could check out form the 1st property before checking in on the 2nd one, in order to bypass this, but, why bother with all this.
If I where you, I will do my stay at Park Inn, since there are not that many around the USA, and then do your Radisson stay on another occasion on separate days in a hotel near home. Make a STAYCATION for it.
I presume that you are also doing the Country Inn too!

The payout for all this is far greater than making a dummy reservation to try and qualify for it. You are risking time and money.

tangey May 21, 2012 5:50 am

I just registered for the 2 promos and got confirmation emails, so clearly they havn't reached their limits yet.

Good advice - think I'm better ensuring I get the points! Hopefully i'll have the chance to have another weekend away before the end of the promotion!

Has anyone tried checking in, but not staying the night? It seems to me that they are unlikely to be able to enforce the rule requiring being present at checkout.

Should be no problem. I dont think it is a matter of being there to check out as they will check you out as always automatically. I think they just dont want a hotel to get a bunch of revenue from phantom stays via the phone.

Heck, how will Club Carson ever know? I really doubt that their database system has a flag which says checked out in person or checked out otherwise? What if you just leave your key in the room, or take it with you, or leave it at the reception when there's a long line? How will they mark that in their system (assuming you could)? Check out in person?

And why can't you check out in person after watching an hour of TV in the room? Oh oh, change of plans...my dog broke his leg.

johndoe123 May 21, 2012 1:56 pm

They just don't want abuse.

If you choose to look at the room and leave, they could probably care less.

They are trying to get you to experience the property, and perhaps consider Radisson in your future stays.

To the extent you do a phantom stay at the cheapest hotel in the nation doesn't achieve that goal. Clearly, the best value is to combine this promo with a stay you enjoy, as using this as 50% off your next stay isn't the greatest value. Go for a weekend in a nearby town or similar.

Another category of abuse is the same person creating accounts under their dogs name, they are not getting any marketing benefit out of you choosing to stay twice.

Both of which are valid reasons for them to ID you at check in for this promo.

If you want to stay one night -- your wife the next -- and your brother the third, that is fine. As is checking in and leaving.

However, they have some of the most liberal rules for award programs out there. They typically never expire, they're fully transferable to anybody (hence the dog problem), people who received this 6 months ago can get it again, and virtually any discounted revenue rate qualifies as a stay.

Feel free to take "advantage" of the promo with your whole family, but don't abuse it.

agreed, I just got finished booking my radisson and country in stays. I plan on maximizing this by using me and my wife to stay at each hotel. will go on a paid for vacation at these places to let the kids play at the beach, an this trip will fund future stays for little to no cost. Great deal in my mind. Maximize the benefit but don't push the limits (dogs name) as those ar the things that get these promos killed or make the brand choose not to do them again.

Just registered for Park Inn promo

Did everyone register for the Park Inn promo that went live at 12 am CET time?

My husband and I registered and already received our email confirmation!! :D
