Is this right? Click through on the AA Shopping site which takes you straight to Verizon... and then they want my CC information again (that I just registered with AA Shopping Mall?)

To me, it's worth it to gamble $150 for 3 pairs of headphones (including CA state/local tax) for the chance for 250k miles. I just dropped $1500 on 100k USAir miles, why wouldn't I spend a tenth of that to go for 250k??
I kind of see it like an options contract, although AMEX's "too big to fail" return policy gives me some assurance. So this is what it feels like to be Goldman Sachs, huh?

Wow. This is really becoming entertaining. I'll say it again: there is NO WAY this deal goes through. My prediction is that the headsets will ship, and everyone who bought one will have bought a $60 headset (plus tax) that goes for $33 on Amazon with no tax. Or have bought three of them. And then when you return it you will get socked with a $35 per item stocking fee.
Read the TOS for the site:
The "We" in that clause is American Airlines and Vesdia. So AA won't honor the deal for sure. And Verizon has the right to change the terms and conditions at any time. So the only person to complain to when the miles don't post is Verizon Wireless. And they'll rely on that clause above to deny the miles.
So Verizon gets to make a very nice profit on what is turning out to be a great day for Motorokr S-305 sales.
Read the TOS for the site:
We are not responsible for setting or maintaining the number of the Miles awarded by any Participating Merchant in connection with a Qualifying Purchase or for the requirements of any Participating Merchant's program or offer. Each Participating Merchant has reserved the right to change at any time, and without notice, the number of Miles offered as well as the terms and conditions of any Qualifying Purchase.
So Verizon gets to make a very nice profit on what is turning out to be a great day for Motorokr S-305 sales.

Who wants to be Lead Combatant?
I bought 3. The likely path here is that they don't post the miles and a hundred of us will be left debating how to fight AA. If we unite and elect a Lead Combatant, maybe we stand a better chance. If there are 100 buyers with an average buy of 2, that's 16,774,200 miles. Definitely worthwhile.
And just to show what a reasonable guy I am, I'm willing to settle for 80,000 miles each . Our fearless leader can have the 3,871 miles x 200 units = 774,200 miles.

$0.00072 is to damn high!
These other products have the same miles at a lower price (lower risk).
The buy now link did not lead to the product page on verizon for me tho. Hopefully it works for some of you.
4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi™ 4510L $29.98
4G LTE USB Modem 551L $9.98
Home Phone Connect $29.98
They may have required service plans. The page did not say.

Are anyone else's purchases not showing up in the Shopping Mall?
I wonder if it takes a bit of time to post . . .
Moreover, my credit card with which I registered for the Mall reads "Activation Requested" under the "Registered Cards" Category . . .
Is this happenin' for anyone else?
Edit: Ohhhhhhhhhh, crap.
"Once your card is in Active status it is eligible to earn miles." From the site - plus, it takes 48 hours (minimum) to become active.
My damn AA cards (which were pre-registered) are sitting at home! Arrrgghhh!

I think we all know it is very low probability. Luckily, we're getting great implied odds here, so it's worth the risk. It's unlikely, but certainly not "no way".
