I've looked at Santa Barbara or TYR as possibilities (the TYR is MCI-ORD-AUS-DFW-TYR) but it's a full day of travel for the four segments to TYR. Was hoping for three segments-three segments. Any thoughts/suggestions/advice would be appreciated. LIT, MSY, BTR, Texas and Southern California destinations would be preferred if needing to overnight but elite beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks much!!
Well, I couldn't quite sneak it under your budget, but for $324 you can go MCI-DFW-SNA-SJC-LAX-ORD-MCI on 12/13-12/14. Hope that helps a bit.

Need Xtra AA EQM out of SAN

Not exactly an mileage run, so I apologize is this is in the wrong place. Looking at all my booked travel, I should end the year with around 86,285 eqm on AA. But I have two more trips I need to plan, one to be in DC November 7th & 8th and one to be in Charleston, December 8th through 12th. Both trips, I'd need to arrive the day before. I'm based in SAN and would normally accrue about 9400 eqm on these trips. Of course, I need 13,715. Can I squeeze these extra miles out of these two trips? If so, which routings should I look at? Sorry for the basic nature of these questions.

There is a low fare on US (*A partner) from YYC-MCO for $93++ each way.

$289.88 all-in and get 6,496 miles = 4.4cpm which is a little high however remember it's from Canada!!!

I mapped out the following routing:

YYC-LAS-CLT-MCO-PHX-YYC

There is availability weekend of Oct 31st, i.e. leave Fri Oct 31st return Sun, Nov 2nd

Cheers.

Awesome! Thanks, this will do it for me. Going to go look for availability on other days, if there is any.

Need measly 2800 miles out of SFO or SJC

I only need 2800 miles for my mileage run and I'm out of SFO or SJC. I prefer to fly on December 13th. This is for UA (or US I suppose).

The best deal I've found so far is SJC-DEN-SEA-SFO for 9.5cpm. I'm still a rookie, but I've seen people get below 5cpm, can anyone help me out on that one? Seems like SEA is a cheap airport to fly in/out of. Thanks!

Thanks for all of the help that's going back and forth here. It's nice to have knowledgeable people who will help each other out.

I'm short just 5000 status miles for my AC*E this year, and am kind of new to the idea of plotting out MRs.

Wondered if anyone had some good suggestions for a MR on AC or *A metal.

Departing: CYQR

Destinations: I could make it a weekend and have friends in LA, SFO, YYJ, YYC, YYZ. But otherwise, anywhere with a great rate would be fine for a quick turnaround.

Dates: Nov 14-15 // Nov 21-22 // Dec 5-6 // Dec 12-13 could all work.

Times: I can leave any time after noon on Fridays, which may help.

Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You should be able to tack an extra 2k or so miles onto the DC trip by flying into IAD or BWI and routing through MIA. For CHS it may be possible to add an ORD-DFW segment each way (something like SAN-ORD-DFW-CHS-DFW-ORD-SAN). Sadly this combination will still fall a bit short of your goal. You can always add extra segments with multi-city tickets, but the cost/mile is often much worse than just doing an MR with one of the ~$200 published RT coast-to-coast fares. Good luck.

I thought I had my last MR figured out; apparently I counted my miles wrong, so I need more than I thought, so thoughts on possible routings would be appreciated.

I need *A out of ORD (or MDW, MKE, etc.) and I need 3905 miles. I would prefer to keep it in the 50 states and under $300. Any ideas?

Sure...can't quite get the 3905 miles however there is a good fare availabile on US Airways between ORD-SAN for $76++ one way or $193 ($107 lower than your max budget!) all-in which gives you 3546 miles through LAS......i.e:

ORD-LAS-SAN-LAS-ORD

I do see availability mid-end of Nov and some in Dec.

Cheers.

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, it seems that I made you look that up for nothing. I did some backtracking and I didn't miscount... I wasn't credited for a flight earlier this year. A simple ORD-OAK-ORD on UA for $280 - paper voucher will take care of my needs this year!

Sorry for the kipper.

Thanks! I'll book this as soon as I figure the last business trip I have. There's a possibility I may only need 850 rather than 2800 miles...which makes a MR a little easier.

MR on NW from TYS

I need some help/advice. I am flying to SGF from TYS on 11/9 and returning 11/14. I was looking at making a MR by leaving a day earlier and returning a day or two later. This is my first time doing a MR. I just learned about this yesterday. I only have 4107 mile and 7 segs on NW. I need 25k miles or 30 segs to get SE. Price is not a problem since this flight is for work. My only requirement is that I land at SGF by 3:45PM on 11/9 and leave no sooner than 4:30PM on 11/14. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking for someone to do all the work for me, just tell me what I need to look at in order to get the most miles or segments.

Thank you,
Ryan
