Update from my experience. I managed to get an agent to allow switch to PEK or PVG. Several had already refused, but one insisted it was standard policy, no problem. No change to HKG though.
So I've now pushed out to early 2022. Can't say I'm that optimistic though!

Changed dates BER-HKG for Apr 2022 using webchat. Received a call from Expedia a few months ago saying - there is no more possibilities to extend or make any changes. Well, it worked well third time over Finnair chat

Moved my BER-CAN flight yet again. Change of destination not possible. Rebooked into R class. 
They said R is a higher booking class than I (which isn't available on the route). But I would earn much more AS miles than R class.
Any recourse?

I just received an email from Expedia that my remaining to CAN bookings are cancelled (including the one in April 2022, which I just rebooked) and that I can request a refund. Anyone in the same boat?

Just asked Finnair if an open ticket is an option -> it is not.
And if we reschedule, Finnair operates the newly chosen flights but a quarantaine requirement/border closure is still in place, the original ticket rules (no cancellation allowed) apply when we wish to cancel

If you are not able to enter your destination your airline will deny boarding. However that doesn't give rise to anything in terms of an entitlement to compensation, refund, or re-route. This is very much your responsibility to ensure you can enter your booked destination. AY doesn't owe you anything under EC261 in those circumstances.
If your flight is actually cancelled, then yes you are entitled to the remedies in EC261, so compensation (subject to cancellation reason), refund, or re-route.
