How do you get notified of such deals? What tweet are you referring to?

Same situation. Got mine from ORD for $340 RT on smartfares about 20 minutes before it died. I have a united confirmation but it isn't ticketed.

I was trying to get VX metal from BOS but left with way too long of a connection at LAX/SFO. By the time i said screw it was was going to book UA, the fare expired.

I thought that under DOT rules if you do book something non-refundable and then the airline cancels because of a mistake fare then you should be able to claim back the lost money from the airline.

Did this friend fly on the kiwi, over the igloo to see the marsupials that hang out in the trees?

I booked via SmartFares around 3ish as well and just received an email from them saying it's cancelled. I'll get my money back, but I was really looking forward to NZ! Does anyone think we have a leg to stand on to demand they honor the fare?

oh well...

Has anybody that had their flights cancelled actually had tickets or got a PNR but was waiting for it to ticket?

Saw this for as low as $245RT out of CVG. Due to some immovable conflicts, booked it for $330 around 2:45PM EST yesterday, via OTA (via Momondo). Received e-ticket around 10PM last night. First mistake fare I've ever booked, so here's hoping the e-ticket means I'm good.
