Per the mods, the Mileage Run Deals forum is only for posting/discussing active deals. If you were looking for the previous mega-thread including suggestions on things to do in Singapore etc. and peripheral stuff related to the SIN MR but not directly having to do with fares or booking it, that thread can still be found in the Mileage Run Discussion forum:

In addition, discussions about DL and SkyMiles including recent program changes can be found in the Delta forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta-air-lines-skymiles-665/

Questions/advice about Singapore as a destination can be found in the Singapore forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/singapore-510/

Replicating the dates on AF's web site produced the same price but could not purchase ("technical error") and replicating in ITA Matrix and trying to book on DL via the userscript (which would've been nice since I have DL credits I want to use up) also failed at final booking with a fare increase to 7k+.

However I was able to get it ticketed at Orbitz and have an AF PNR and ticket number with seat assignments and everything, so...

In scanning the Premium Deals forum this doesn't seem like the best SIN J deal compared to some recent stuff, but for 35k+ MQMs and 9k+ MQDs it still seemed worth it

Fare rules for IAH seem to require travel starting on M-W in both directions. Saw possibilities out of both DFW and DAL as well as ORD. Happy hunting!

How this itinerary worked out? Trying to plan a MR to Asia from NY but I am more interested in MQDs.

Everything credited as expected within a few days of travel, although as with any itinerary involving partner flights I recommend getting paper boarding passes (at the airport if you can't do it before traveling) and holding on to them until everything posts.

NYC-Asia should have decent possibilities, although more likely westbound on China Eastern. Happy hunting!

For those seeking MQMs there were some good SJC-PVG/PEK fares for 3+ day stay recently (China visa needed)

If you want to make DM you really need to consider making MQD runs as some readers have commented which usually gets you in J and is much more comfortable but will cost more $.and give more MQM and SM
Zorak, thanks for your comments and describing your run. Readers explore and search and see what you come up with Happy Travels to all and have a great week. Keep questions and comments coming. Blessings

Smile Fares Aug 21 - Best Prices so far

$648.91 Sep 3-6, 17-20, 24-27 Best price
$691.91 Oct 15-18
$693.91 Sep 2-5, 4-7, 9-12, 11-14, 16-19, 23-26, 18-21, 23-26, 25-28, 30-Oct 3, 7-10, 14-17, 16-19, 23-26, Nov 4-7, 6-9
$819.71 Dec 2-5, 3-6
$825.62 Nov 19-22
Best prices in the last 3-4 months. 21,000+ MQM the same as before, slightly more thru ATL, thru ATL C+ still avail if thru DTW it is prem select and to get this you need a GUC but you should only use those for Delta one. Happy Travels. If you want DM you need $15,000 MQD or $250.000 charge on AX. So the number of DM next year may be a little smaller.
Happy Travels. All comments and questions welcomed. What are your strategies for DM for next year? Blessings

I am tempted to try one of those just to max MQDs. Using KAYAK I have been able to get quotes for $2,632 (business class from NY over a weekend). It seems that's the only way to make DM without spending the whole amt.

One strategy for maximizing MQD is to fly on partner airlines where the MQD will be calculated based on a percentage of distance flown and the class of fare.

Well, now I need to clear up some time in Sept or Oct, hard to pass up at these prices. Now the problem is take some partner flights to get MQD up and sneak in to Plat this year or just keep plans for Gold and have a nice rollover...

One of the best strategies for 2018 is to use one of these cheap SIN Mileage Runs to position to Asia, allowing 3-4 nights stopover.

Then use an Asian airport as a departure point for a Business/First Class Mileage Run to earn high RDM's, MQM's and MQD's is relation to dollars spent on a SkyTeam partner fare. It may take a bit longer but in the overall scheme of things it can make qualification (re-qualification) for Platinum/Diamond time & money efficient.

In fact, I just had a friend who took their 8-year old child from ZERO to Diamond in one such long itinerary!

Happy Mileage Running!

Flights to SIN

Needed a positioning flight to SIN since my base is SMF compared with IAH and got a great deal, $767.81 or 63,000 SM and $90..71. These are really great prices. Try some MQD runs from SIN on MU. Have a great week! Blessings

Will be returning to SIN Nov 28-Dec 12 and got some outstanding prices SMF SEA NRT SIN NRT SEA SMF for $761.81 and also got prices from LGA for $737.31. Try other cities as well. DL wants to fill seats and once seats are filled, the prices go up. Bought my ticket while traveling on Subway in NYC had to call the DM desk as was not able to do it online and they got same prices and my seats in C+, Great prices, don't wait, do it now. Blessings!

I just booked SEA-NRT-SIN round trip Oct 30 - Nov 13 for $682.21. Not the best deal but I needed to fly out of SEA. Decided to make it a trip to visit family.
