Kept checking prices and finally ended up with 40,000 SM and $90.31 for Oct 31-Nov 8 SMF SEA NRT SIN NRT ATL SMF so you get more time to enjoy DL hospitality or $761.41 SMF SEA NRT SIN NRT SEA SMF for $621 MQD and 17,352 MQM per person. Just enjoyed the experience of flying MU in business class YVR PVG SIN their service was great with very attentive FA who were very solicitous and helpful with a smile. Asian carriers are very good with their service. My positioning flight is for a MQD run SIN PVG CMB PVG SIN that will enable us to get our DM for next year without AX $250,000 spend. Same dates IAH ATL NRT SIN NRT ATL IAH are $690.41 21,734 MQM, $550 MQD. Still mult dates IAH SIN for <$700 which will give you about 21,700 MQM thru ATL. DL was great at check in in SMF and we checked bags all the way thru SMF SEA YVR PVG SIN. It pays to keep checking, same price 40,000 SM but more direct return SIN NRT SEA LAX SMF without going thru ATL and arriving about 6 hrs earlier at 5 pm. Still have some good fares IAH SIN for various dates. Currently in Wuxi, China. Am on a MQD run on MU from YVR PVG SIN PVG SIN PVG YVR. Could check prices on DL.com for SM positioning flight but could not get tickets issued so finally succeeded using SKYPE and called DM desk, was a free call so got my previous flight back thru ATL cancelled after I made the new one thru NRT SEA LAX SMF. Took several calls to get thru, first 2 said after office hours but succeeded on 3rd call to DM desk and got reservations made and cancelled previous ones. Have never seen SM prices this low for SIN in all the years I have been checking. If you want to visit and don't need MQM now is a great time to do it. Was in NYC the last part of Aug, thought it was crowded there, well you need to come to Shanghai, China and see more people than you will see in NYC.

Other dates higher prices and for some dates only 1 or 2 seats available. Better get your MR now rather than wait. DM desk was very helpful when we landed at YVR on return as we were scheduled for 7 hr layover till YVR LAX flight on WestJet and then LAX SMF which would get us in around 11:30 pm about 48 hrs after leaving PVG. Talked with Kenneth, he was awesome and at DFW and he helped arrange along with ticketing so we could go YVR SLC SMF and get in by 6 pm at no additional cost. I would like to give him a 25 but the highest I can give is a 5, asked him if I could send him one of the cards the DL gives to acknowledge great service and he said thank you but it wasn't necessary and he was doing his job. Another reason I like DL. Report MQD MQM run on MU and DL SMF LAX SEA YVR PVG SIN PVG SIN PVG YVR SLC SMF all in I on MU which helps out MQD and MQM - totals are approximate air time - wheels up to wheels down about 47:52 SM 73,687, MQM 34,543, MQD 9202 This was split up over several weeks but there are some long layovers, 5-6 hrs on some flights,in PVG but if you know how to use the MRT you can take it to town in about an hour, are is about $1 each way and you can go shopping, there is a great mall at the Science and Technology Museum stop on the Green Line or Line 2.. Great buys but you must know how to bargain and that is part of the fun. You have to allow time at least an hour, on return to go thru immigration and security which can be slow. Be patient. They have a nice lounge, change your $ before you get to the airport. Official exchange US$! - 6.7 RMB but it will be much less at the airport and they will charge you a commission as well. We got 6.7 at hotel and no commission. Shops will probably take US$ but I never asked. Service on MU is great in I business class and if they know you are in business you can often go to a shorter security line. Always be polite and say thank you, it never hurts. The FA on MU are very helpful and you will have some bus gates so be able to handle your carryon luggage. The lounge is nice with a good selection of Asian food. There appeared to be some lockers where you might leave your bag but I never asked. Travel light it is much easier. Subways will be crowded and when you go to town from airport you will have to transfer at one station, Guanglan Road, but it is on same line and you just walk across platform to subway on other side and continue your journey. When you buy ticket, there is a button for English, so push that and pick the station you want to go to and put in your fare and they will give you your change and ticket. Keep ticket as you will need to exit the station. If any questions please let me know via PM. If you use the Delta flexible date search and put in a trip length of 4 days, you will a listing of 764.21 for Nov 4 - 7. There are some lower prices for other dates as well.

Not much time left for MR MQM and fares will only get higher. If you need MQD you can contact laptoptravel. Am doing one SIN PVG CMB in Nov on MU that will give me MQD 4400 enuff to get MQD 15,000 and help keep DM for one more year. Have been seeing a lot of SIN and PVG this year but usually have work in SIN. PVG is a great place to visit and go sightseeing in the local area. On last trip went to Lingshan near Wuxi and saw the largest bronze buddha in world that was 289 feet high was completed in 1996. From PVG rode bullet train, top speed 307 kph (192 mph) to Wuxi about 50-55 min ride. Get your Flu shot. Happy Travels. Do it now before prices go any higher. Blessings

Hoped to get one more SIN run in before EOY but doesn't look like that will happen. Did jump on the PS deal from LAX-PVG in mid-January, though. Will likely do my first SIN run of the year in February or March.

Hey looking for help with MR. Currently Gold with 12,000 MQDs thanks to mostly FC domestic and Delta One to Africa 2x this year. Need approx 10,000MQM to Platinum and not planning additional flights this year. DTW is my base but I have frequently taken the train to ORD for Africa flights because the same Africa flight from JFK costs half as much in D1 if you originate from ORD vs DTW (literally 2800 vs 5600.. crazy).

Don't need MQDs. Willing to take a cheap transition flight away from the DTW hub. Any good/easy 10k mileage runs, no MQDs needed?
