Per the mods, the Mileage Run Deals forum is only for posting/discussing active deals. If you were looking for the previous mega-thread including suggestions on things to do in Singapore etc. and peripheral stuff related to the SIN MR but not directly having to do with fares or booking it, that thread can still be found in the Mileage Run Discussion forum:

In addition, discussions about DL and SkyMiles including recent program changes can be found in the Delta forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta-air-lines-skymiles-665/

Questions/advice about Singapore as a destination can be found in the Singapore forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/singapore-510/

Are you going to get it next year? I hope you will. Unfortunately travelling in planes is a great way to pick up unwanted viruses that can cause flu and the common cold. Thank you for sharing. Happy Travels to all and Please get you Flu Shot.

That is a great price, thanks for posting, during your time in PVG you might take the subway down to the Science museum and do some shopping they have great prices, remember to bargain you want to pay about 20-25% of their initial asking price. The subway takes about an hour and you will need to change some money and the fare is only 6 yuan which is <$1 Button on machine to show fares and stops in English. Stores don't open before 9 am. Many shops and all kinds of stuff to buy. One other idea if you go on MU you might check the price for business class as that is the way to get your MQD as you can get about 40% of your miles flown. You will have to be sure you get the right class fare which should be (I) and that will help you work towards the 15,000 MQD which you will need for DM. Have fun. Get your flu shot! Happy Travels and Merry Christmas to all the readers. Keep posting.

@Csfing1 I've seen you (and others) post about good success with MU when flying in J. Have you flown MU Y before? I have read many horror stories, never flown myself, though this price is extremely attractive. Availability seems to be late feb - may 2019.

Y on MU

Last year on LAX PVG SIN flight we had some friends who were in Y on MU and they were happy with food and service. If you are adventurous and you have 5 or 6 hrs between flights go into Shanghai see earlier post. Merry Christmas. If you are tall you might check Seat Guru to check the pitch. Get your Flu shot! The life you save could be yours!

My MR to SIN is coming up in 1 week, and I'm pretty excited. AF Z Class IAD-CDG-SIN-CDG-IAD. 31,584 MQM, 58,957 RDM, and 8,422 MQD. One of the best things is the MQDs. I'm earning 2.4 times what I had actually spent in MQDs. At 11.06 cents/MQM, it's not one of the best earning bargains, but it will be a nice ride (AF 777 with nice seats).

Merry Christmas and thank you

MERRY CHRISTMAS and THANK YOU to all readers MRers and posters. Especially liked the last post about MQM and MQD. That is why we did our trips on MU this year. Fastest way and cost effective for your MQD. Don’t know of any MU flights from JFK but there is one from ORD. Have a great day and keep flying, reading and posting! Get your flu shot! Happy Travels and Blessings!

Are you concerned about the same for UK, France, Spain, etc.? They are also Level 2 from the US State Dept.

Transiting PVG

That shouldn’t be any problem unless you are a former Chinese National Who now has citizenship elsewhere and than I would certainly be prudent and not transit thru PVG especially if your background of business is in some area that China would be interested in. Be safe and go thru SIN NRT or other cities where you don’t have any risk. If you are flying MU for MQD you really need to get a business fare I or higher and that should give a good return in MQD as it will be a percentage of miles flown. That’s what we had to do last year in our MQD MQM runs. Happy New Year and Safe and Happy Travels. Get your Flu shot! Blessings to all keep your questions and comments coming.
