They said I had 3 choices:
1. Cancel now for free.
2. Pick a re-route that suited me and pay any fare difference.
3. Wait for the schedule change to officially post (supposed to be today) and re-book for free.
I chose #3 and am just waiting for that to happen.

MR MQD MQM run on MU
Hi All
It has been a while since my last post. Currently in SIN having finished 3/4 of my run on MU - SFO PVG SIN PVG MAD PVG SIN KMG Kunming TAO Qingdao SFO. Flight back thru KNG TAO to get a few more MQM. Flights were in 350 PVG MAD PVG 787 PVG SIN PVG and 777 SFO PVG. Flights in 350 PVG MAD PVG were a little over 12 hours each way with 3 hrs to turn around in MAD back to PVG on same plane and seats 7DH. The FA were very very attentive and helpful. Club in PVG is excellent MAD, SFO SIN average. J in their 350’s is super as there is a door that can be closed to aisle and a sliding panel can separate the 2 center seats if desired. Foot room is wider than 777 and 787. Flight time SFO PVG was about 12:40 and they offered you pajamas. Trip should net SM 111,837. MQM 55,959. MQD $13,980 so with roll over miles from last year and trip to UK etc and cc MQM will have DM for next year. My wife will need one more MR of 20,000 MQM to make hers as she didn’t have many roll over miles. Service in J in MU was excellent and also food. We are vegan so the Chinese vegetarian was quite tasty and much better than what we get on DL. Looking at one more MR for my wife so will try for IAH SIN again but most of flight will be on Korean but that gives me the possibility of 380 and possibly a 748 depending on flight picked. If a 748 want the UD so will expend GUC and see what we can get.
Time to get your Flu shot. The life you save could well be yours. Best fares just around $900 and are week 2 and 3 in Nov!

Total costs $5,467.13 minus 1,118 (111,800 SM valued at $0.01/mile) = $4350
7.8 cpm in J and a factor of 3.21 for MQD = 13,980 MQD. Hope this answers your question and it was all in J which is very comfortable.

Final figures MQM MQD SM
It took a while as the leg PVG MAD was not originally credited but was this am. Took 2 calls to DM desk but goal is accomplished need one more MR SMF PVG for $550 for my wife to make her DM for next year. That along with another SMF SIN business trip in Nov will ensure adequate MQM and rollover to next year. Final numbers:

MQM 57,360 7.6 cpm in J
MQD $13,964 3.21 factor
Cost $5467.13 minus SM at $.01 cpm = 5467.13 minus 1117 = $4350.13
Benefits 8 GUC plus whatever else you want to select from your DM Choices.

DL LAX PVG $544.75 4.2 cpm
Needed a few more MQM so we got LAX PVG Nov 4 try Nov 5 for $512.75 for 12,970 MQM 3.95 cpm price has increased to $544.75 for 4.2 cpm multiple dates available. This is an out and back with about 4 hrs in PVG. If you want you can stay one day for same price. No Chinese visa needed for out and back. You may or may not need one if you stay longer up to 72 hrs, safer if you have one. Great shopping in PVG. Go to shopping center near Science and Technology Museum. Great shopping but you must bargain. Pay 30-40% of initial asking price.
