Also possible to do a Circle the South Atlantic for $1661
Haven't tried putting stopovers in but the Fare Rules state HIP check can be ignored for transfers (doesn't mention stopovers) and 1 free stopover ? each way - may be good for a CAI-South Africa-South America-Europe-CAI holiday

AS you all can see from the screenshots, this was booked directly on aa.com (US site) via the multi city search function, which can be found by clicking "advanced search" on the homepage underneath the main "Search" button.
I searched for the following specific sectors:
1. Day 1 (Morning): CAI-JFK (make sure you route with BA via LHR)
2. Day 1 (Evening): JFK-LAX (make sure you have enough time for customs etc)
overnight LAX
3. Day 2 (Any time): LAX-HNL (you can choose how long you want your LAX stopover)
min Sat night in HNL, or 3 days. Although in the last example screenshot, a 1-night turn is available.
4. Day 5: HNL-JFK (Evening)
5. Day 6: JFK-CAI (Evening)
At the bottom under "options", select "search by schedule", then Business class, as well as under "airline", select "all airlines".
This is how I found the above routing. Really a gold mine for BA flyers at 8x140TPs = 1120 TPs
Enjoy and happy flying

I'm well mmxbreaks though, unfortunately. The engine hasn't worked on this for me for over 24 hours.

You can add another stop on this trip via the US east coast, to increase the no. of BA TPs to 1,120. E.g. CAI-LHR-JFK-LAX-HNL. Price in Aug is as low as £1,239.
The AA fare basis is INE0F6RS and requires a min Sat night stay. There's an equivalent BA fare basis which is IRCME but that's more restrictive - min 3 night stay.

While individual fares will come and go, it is clear that we will generally earn:
More AA EQMs and fewer AA EQDs on AA segments,
Fewer AA EQMs and more AA EQDs on partner segments.
So it depends on your individual requirements, which ones you need more.
Actually we have three variables here: (1) Whose ticket stock is used, (2) Whose metal, and (3) Whose flight number. I am not sure if, crediting to AA under various permutations, you get EQMs and EQDs by AA's chart or BA's. Any confirmed information will be greatly appreciated.

Though kind of OT, for folks doing long and especially overnight connections I'd highly recommend Le Meridien Cairo Airport. I just posted a review: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...l#post28055786

Do you guys think that the airport hotel will also make a good base for actually seeing Cairo (not decided how many days, but close to the minimum needed), and not just transit? Or is it better to base oneself elsewhere?
